However, this book is tops when compared to the other books available that provide information on creating and installing large-scale mosaic murals. Why do I say that? My partner, Liz Nicklus, and I buy any book that will provide tips and ideas for our mural business. The only books that discuss large-scale mosaic murals are geared more towards classical and byzantine style mosaics.
This book concentrates on pique assiette or "shard art" murals and approaches the art from a modernist perspective. It touches on the materials required, and explains techniques in depth, along with a touch of humor, and is packed with full-color photos throughout.
