On April 19, 1992, (pages 151-152), Hak Ja Han Moon inaugurated the “Women’s Federation for World Peace” before 150,000 in attendance in Seoul, Korea. In the following nine months, she crossed 24-different time zones and spoke in 113 locations. There was no rest. Nearing the end of December, Mrs. Moon’s last stop was scheduled at China’s Great Hall of the People in Tiananmen Square. It was an event that began to be very difficult, but in the end, very rewarding.
Since China’s open-door policy was in place, everything should have gone smoothly. However, the Chinese military (CCP) refused to grant a permit to speak without first approving her speech. Mrs. Moon explained that it was not political at all. She insisted that the message had nothing to do with politics and that its focus was on women.
One week later, they concluded, “We cannot allow this kind of content.” It did contain dozens of mentions of God. It seemed like the event was not going to happen until there appeared a shining knight. At that time, China’s leader, Xi Jinping’s son, Deng Pufang, comes to meet True Mother.
President Deng was the chairman of the China Disabled Persons Federation, an organization consisting of 500,000 members. The day before the event, the young Mr. Deng invited Mrs. Moon and other Women’s Federation leaders to a reception held by his organization. It was a harmonious meeting, where we encouraged one another despite the differences in our systems and ideologies. That evening, the All China Women’s Federation welcomed us to their gathering. They never met before, so it felt awkward at first, but soon all of us ladies became friends and had a good time singing happily together.
As the evening progressed, Mrs. Moon was assured she would give her speech, which she did. And it never wavered from her original speech with God being mentioned dozens of times. It was a great victory for God over the Communist world.

Such a fascinating look into the life of a woman at the center of a new religion who is totally committed to her purpose of comforting the heart of God. Mother Moon's unwavering faith and relationship with God has taken her from a small village in war-torn North Korea, into a marriage with a man just as single-mindedly dedicated to God as she is. This book gives us a view into their wedding, their marriage, their relationship, and their life, as Mother Moon gave birth to 14 children, and the two of them traveled around the world on this mission, and amassed a worldwide followership/movement.
When I pick it up, the time disappears. There is no one who can tell the story of the Unification Church and Father Moon's mission from the kind of perspective that she has, and it feels surreal to be experiencing her life through this book. Highly recommend it!
