Editorial Reviews

2012 album from this Heavy Metal outfit led by two former members of Saxon. Guitarist Graham Oliver and bassist Steve Dawson. Motorbiker is an album of new songs and delivers heavy duty material from the masters and originators of NWOBHM. Play very loud and enjoy. Angel Air.

well this od saxon cd finally came out, i had been waiting for this for years, it is a decent effort since it took these guys 15 years to record new material i was of coarse expecting this to be better, the best song on this cd is the title track MOTORBIKER it does have that motorcycle man feel to it but sadley the rest of this cd sounds very modern for my fourty something year old ears, graham still has it regarding those solos of his and his trademark sound, i mean you know graham is playing guitar here but i felt the son of a bitch cd back in 1996 was far better then this effort, chemical romance is very late 90s modern sounding and no way out is that song ONE SOUR KRAUT that appeared on that compilation angelair put out back in 2008 all they did was re work the song a bit and throw a different intro to it for this release but sadley the song goes nowhere, whipping boy is ok that is a decent rocker, just another sucicide is a decent song to but just does not stick in your head as for nevada beach the lyrics seem a bit silly and it also has another silly sensless intro to it hell in helsinki is ok, worlds gone mad is ok and sadley nusery crimes is the worst song on this release, any song from a bunch of guys in there late 50s that starts out with lyrics like hickory dickory dock, the mouse ran up the clock is so saxon offbase i will say no more about it, od saxon seem to be trying to appeal to a younger audiance with the modern production that takes place on this cd, if you are a younger hm fan...Read more ›

Your not Saxon, you can't leave a great band more than 20 years ago then later expect to rob the real Saxon of their name for your own gain. Your music lacks the old school magic too so yeah this sucks, just an attempted cash in on the Saxon name.

Very good, solid effort from ex Saxon guys. Riffs are amazing. Sound recording is excellent. It would be an absolute perfect album if not for fairly weak vocals... Other than that - very good. I must've listened to it about 10 times in two months that I got it. Well worth a try.

Wanted to buy this CD until I heard the vocals!! Whoever is singing is killing every song on this CD!! Could be a 5 star CD with someone else singing especially with Grahm Oliver's kick-ass guitar playing!!
