-The tears have been stopped from getting worse.
-The tears are not as obvious as they were before.
-The tears look better, but anything more than a quick glance and you'll be able to tell the seat was obviously repaired. It's not exactly pretty...
In the end, it does look better and more importantly the tears will no longer spread and get worse. Just don't expect whatever you repair to look like new.
