Great radio, but has a design flaw

These are great radios. Full featured and easy to use. We really like the large display and 'cell phone like' usability. With the ability to add call groups, over-the-air programming, and the Motorola CPS software to backup and restore radios, they really do everything our warehouse needs. We currently have in use about 50 or so of these across 4 warehouses. Range is not an issue, especially with the long antenna. No problem going through warehouse racking 1500' away from someone else. They are quite loud and no issues hearing them in a noisy environment.However, that being said, there is a MAJOR flaw with these units. The PTT button will eventually break off of the mainboard inside the radio, rendering the unit useless. We have replaced nearly every radio in our business at least once, each time for the same issue. So beware, especially of used units. We always must have 10 or so spares on hand, because they WILL eventually break. The issue affects both the DTR550's and 650's. We actually have more 650's, but they are almost identical in design and function to the 550's.The radios are great, probably the best out there, but this is a huge design flaw that I wish Motorola had done something about earlier.
