The watch itself is beautiful and I have seen both the black and cognac leather models before deciding to make my purchase. To me, the cognac leather one felt more like a day to day watch that is simple yet sophisticated. The black one looked more to me like a sports watch, and has a shiny bezel that looks almost plastic-like that ultimately bothered me. Had the bezel been matte, I might have had a harder time deciding between the two colors.
Setting up the watch was very easy. Out of the box, my watch came with a 60% charge. I set up the charging dock and laid the watch on it, which immediately turned it on. It prompted me to pair my phone. You'll need to download the AndroidWear app from the App store. From there, the watch will guide you step by step on how to pair it with your phone.Read more ›
Pros: The Moto 360 is one of the classiest smartwatches available without the crazy high price. I wanted a watch that did not look like a smartwatch. The fit and size is very close to a modern watch as well, it is not clunky or flashy. The new 'nub' on the side is rotated to the 2o'clock position so it doesn't click on when you hyper-extend the wrist turning on the watch's full brightness. The always-on function is nice for people who need the exact time frequently such as healthcare workers like me. Quick texts and emails are pretty easy but I'm not sure how many people other than family and friends that you text frequently this might be useful with. There is a "theater mode" on the 2nd gen watch that essentially turns off all notifications and watch face. There are TONS of apps that allow for whatever face you want with endless customization of widgets.
Cons:This watch is a great extension of your phone, but that is about it. There is no speaker so you cannot make/take calls. The watch itself does not have much functionality on it's own, your phone does all the grunt-work and the watch shows a "fancy notification". I use the nav/Google Maps function on my phone all the time - I hoped the watch would work as well. You can prompt Google Now into starting navigation but everything after that is up to the phone.
I am a left-hander so I wear my watch on the right wrist. The microphone is housed at the 8o'clock position so it often does not pick up a Google Now prompt. Battery life isn't amazing. I can usually go an entire day with a full charge with a 10 second time-out for full brightness display and intermittent wifi connectivity.
The wireless charging is a pro and con.Read more ›
The Urbane was just too big but I really wanted an Android watch so I lived with it. Then I got the Gear S2 and love it. It's Tizen so there aren't really many apps for it but it works so smoothly and does all the main functions. It's also a much more reasonable size (42mm) so it looks like a normal watch on my wrist.
I finally decided to go back to Android Wear with this Moto360 that's also 42mm. Now I find myself wearing this Moto most. But my Gear S2 has a leather band (black and brown options) so I sometimes switch to it for fashion reasons. The poor Urbane... it's in a drawer.
So.... I was looking at the Fossil Q too and I really wanted to know how the SIZE looked. I've attached pictures of this Moto next to the Gear S2, the Urbane, the Huawei and the Fossil Q. Sorry I can't label the pictures. There are two pics of the Moto with Huawei - one side view with the moto, one showing the faces that are both on. The S2 has the black leather band. The Fossil is the big one with the screen off. Hope these help.
OH - WARNING - This Moto comes sized for small wrists. I was really surprised that it fit me right out of the box. The other watches were loose and I would need to get some links removed for them to fit. I have no idea what you do for "normal" or large wrists.

Love it! Would've been 5 stars but three things:
1) the vibration is weak. The main reason I got the smartwatch was to not miss call and texts when my phone is in my bag. Read more
