Purchased from Joycells: For use with Tracfone BYOD program. MEIN number wouldn't work online, spoke with tech until I realized they didn't have a clue. Supervisor was finally able to connect phone. The phone itself came in factory packaging. Had superficial scratches. My son didn't want to give up his iPhone 5S but is warming up to the Moto G. While working with the techs over the phone I thought the menus were more user friendly than the Apple products we use. Phone has a nice feel to it. Not sure why it needs removable cover since the battery is not removable according to the sticker. on the back.
When my contract is up in November I will probably go this route as well. This is probably the best 3G phone out there.
Of course it is hard to review a phone without living with it for a while. It's a nice feeling not to be under a phone contract.

So far, great used phone! Great condition, easy to read, crisp images and fonts, faster than my old one. I like the slightly larger size - it means I'll use it rather than opening up my laptop for searches, email, etc. Not sure about the camera, but since my old phone did not have a rear camera or a flash, I think for this price I can't complain! There's enough storage that I can download more apps I'll actually use. Still wish I could delete the Google apps I never use, but that's just the way it is, I guess. Would rather have a classical music app than NFL. But hey, I'll also have room for my music and pictures, even though there's no slot for an SD card. This phone will see me through quite a while, I think!

The phone arrived in a different model's box, but that was as expected and not a problem. It was well-encased within the box, appeared to be brand-new with no marks of any kind. There was a removable plastic film protecting the screen, and the purchase included the wall charger. The phone has been very easy to use with my Page Plus plan--I just made the switch keeping my same phone number via chat with PP personnel. The process took five minutes, tops.
This phone keeps its charge for longer than I would have expected--I use it primarily for brief calls, texts, checking email/Facebook/Twitter, and playing Trivia Crack, and I only have to charge it about every 24-36 hours. When I used the Waze app and when I listened to music, it needed to be charged much sooner, so I guess keep that in mind. Overall I am very happy with the phone.

I bought this phone from M5 Communications and was pleasantly surprised to discover a Motorola charger came in the box, as opposed to a USB cable. I'm already a Page Plus customer and bought this phone to replace a Droid X2. As soon as I opened the box, I went to charge the phone, but it was already charged to 93%. So, I found a YouTube video to bypass the Verizon activation and then went into live chat on Page Plus' website to activate it. It took about 5 minutes for the whole procedure and was free. Once it was working, I then downloaded KitKat 4.4.4.
I have to admit that I don't have anything negative to say about the Moto G. Compared to the Droid X2, it's much faster, the speaker is clear and loud enough, and the screen is easy to read (even with my bad eyes). However, it's the battery life of the Moto G that has really impressed me. I've spent several hours on it each day for a week and I'm only now having to recharge it (it was down to 19%). Granted, I haven't made many phone calls, but a lot of the time I've spent has been downloading and updating apps, as well as listening to music on Google Play.
All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase and would certainly recommend the Moto G. And, just for protection, I bought a Fosmon case and screen protectors, also from Amazon.

Installed on Page Plus as a replacement to an old trusty Moto E815 for my 10 year old son (this will replace his 4G ipod too).
Used chat support to activate. Just gave my phone#, pin, MEID #, then activated by dialing *22890 and a phone reboot. Had an activated new Moto G in about 5 mins.
I disabled Mobile Data because I'm using as Pay-As-You-Go plan. Then connected to my Wi-Fi and logged into using google account and upgraded to KitKat 4.4.4 from 4.4.1. That took about 15 mins to complete.

A very pleasant to use, smooth operating smartphone. This phone replaced a Samsung Galaxy S4 32 GB that was too large too hold while running. Even though this small phone is heavier than the SG4, it feels lighter due it smaller size (a contradiction, I know).
In moving to the Moto G with only 8 GB of internal memory, I had to downsize the amount of apps I use on a daily basis, and I only keep about 2 GB of music (MP3) on this phone instead of my entire music collection on the SG4.
Overall I am very happy with my choice to downsize. The performance of this small phone compares very favorably with the SG4. Motorola seems to have found a sweet spot here.

Arrived timely, but clearly not a new phone. The battery is pretty dead - won't hold a charge for more than a few hours. I had trouble connecting it, because Verizon said it was actually a prepaid phone. It came with a really cheap charger (not Motorola original). And finally, it came in packaging from a different phone (RAZR, not Moto G).
Moto-G phone is good, while the battery lasts, and while I charge with other charges (not the cheap one sent by Soles)
Unfortunately, I am returning it.

Purchased from INSTA-TECH PHONES. The phone came in a box for a Moto X or something like that. The screen protecting film was for a different phone and didn't quite fit. Those things aside, if this phone isn't new, you can't tell. Absolute mint condition. Works great. Very zippy. Over-the-air upgrade to Android 4.4.4 as soon as you turn it on. Very pleased with the phone with the exception of the Verizon firmware which prevents tethering from working. That's a bit of a disappointment. If you don't mind that and the unrootable state of the phone, it's hard not to recommend.
