I think this Dock is exactly what it says and does a pretty nice job of it. I love that the dock screen can be customized and, there's even a port to attach external speakers (on the dock) to make it a small desktop media player.
It's perfect for work where I can easily see the time, date and weather and listen to music I have stored on my phone. Also perfect for home as an alarm clock.
It's a good product. I ordered a second one today.
I will say that this still won't help it fit a large case like an otterbox, but if you are removing your case all the time it is certainly worth a try...
The dock is sturdy and well-weighted; I have no fears of it falling over, breaking, etc. One concern that a lot of people have voiced is the lack of different dock inserts to make it work with a larger variety of cases. I think this is a valid critique given that it only ships with a single insert (for when you are not using a case.. who does that with a $400-$500 phone??). That said, I popped that insert out and the phone fits pretty snugly in the cradle using a pretty generic case I picked up from Best Buy (I don't know if it even has a brand, but it's blue if that helps :P). The phone can move slightly within the dock so it's not perfect, but then, neither was any dock insert I used with my iPhone.
Next, while a lot of people aren't very enthusiastic about the 'clock' mode, I love it. I find it very handy to have a separate 'desktop' on the Atrix for apps that I only want to see in this docked mode. For example, I keep my local weather up on the main screen as well as the dialer (so I can make bluetooth-headset calls while I am at my desk without having to undock and drain the phone) and the general Messaging application to let me text people easily.
The bigger complaint is that the dock does not allow any kind of communication with your PC/Mac. While I wholeheartedly agree that it is a bit obnoxious that the Atrix can't charge in the dock from a USB->Micro-USB cable plugged into a PC, there IS a way to connect to your Windows machine (I haven't experimented with this on my Macs yet)..Read more ›

It did not fit my Droid bionic, but I guess I only have myself to blame for not ensuring that I understood the product description...I thought I did, but apparently NOT.Published 11 months ago by Tootie
Mine came without power cord (not in the description). Product works as expected after you buy a separate power supply.Published 15 months ago by Amazon Customer
Product seems well made but was not the correct one for my phone. The charger port was 180 degrees off so I probably order wrongPublished 17 months ago by David M Johnson
