Update (4-26-2013): There were some problems with the video displaying out to the LCD projector. It seems that you need to be very careful so as to not wiggle the connection with the phone (USB and power connectors) AT ALL or you will lose the image. I had to lay it down on a table so as to minimize the problem, which kind of eliminates demonstrating the use of apps that use the gravitometer. This has essentially killed the interst in demos of the phone at computer club meetings. I will comment on my next attempt, if I try again.
That is the only drawback. It works well for old monitors and projectors that use VGA, or anything that can be adapted to VGA (such as DVI-A). You should use native HDMI if it is available. If no HDMI is available (as is the case for 99% of projectors you'll encounter in offices), you'll need this cable.
Four stars is for good video quality and the ability to charge while using the cable. But since you can't use the cable as a USB Host port with an OTG cable, I can't give it 5 stars. Still, I'm keeping the item and will find it useful with my bluetooth accessories.
Unfortunately, it also disables your USB for anything but charging. It occupies the USB port of the tablet or phone, and does not pass data. So USB drives, keyboards, mice or any other device can not be used when you use this device.

Does not work. Droid razr does not recognize. Would return it but it's been a couple of months.Published on August 15, 2014 by Danny
At last-a perfect match for my Razr Maxx-works reliably, lovely!
Had previously tried two generic adapters that worked erratically and sporadically, very frustrating.!
It works sometimes. If is loses signal, it takes minutes to reconnect. I don't use it as I intended to.Published on November 13, 2013 by Jason Bailey
I have a Motorola Atrix 4G and this doesn't fix it because i didn't know what was this for, please you should say for what kind of devices it works, but is an excellent product.Published on August 6, 2013 by Jose Paredes
This adapter works very well with my Motorola smart phone to allow a big screen view through any projector or tv that has a vga port.Published on July 23, 2013 by Gerald B Carter
