After reading a considerable number of reviews / testimonials I decided to change over my oil to Motul 7100. Shocked! I could not believe the difference in my ‘16 BMW R1200RT-W. The engine valve noise decreased by at least 1/2. The friction zone is smoother. Lastly, shifting is noticeably smoother across the range of gears, but especially 3 - 6. The bike has shift assist pro and it too is smoother. I’m sold. Red color - smells like laundry detergent. Yes... really.

Sorry to bring a negative rating to a product with such high reviews. But here are the facts when I used this oil in my 2009 Suzuki Bandit 1250 with 20,000 miles: As soon as I put the oil in the bike and started it up, it would not come up to normal idle speed - speed was 300 rpm low. Out on the road, bike would not accelerate properly. Tried one more ride on another day with same results. Dumped out the Motul oil after about 4 hrs of use and went back to Mobil 1 4T 10W-40 from the WalMart shelf and immediately back to free-revving happy bike again!

Unless you're TRULY racing, in which case I'd recommend using the Motul 300V oil, this is the best you can get for your high performance street/sport bike!! Awesome awesome oil!!! Quiet's engine noise and provides nice smooth shifting. And being it uses higher costing and superior ESTERS for it's base stocks over the cheaper base stocks that just about all other oil companies use in their "so called" full synthetics...Mobil 1, Castrol, Royal Purple, Valvoline etc etc etc, means that I'm running the best stuff in my bike that money can buy!!!!! I have absolutely ZERO complaints about Motul 7100, It's the best, HANDS DOWN!!!!!!

So I did my homework before purchasing this oil. I then looked at endurance oil testing, high stress testing and along with am so il this oil was a strong second contender. My thing is, I usually only use Amsoil. I've always heard about Motul in the background, but never really gave them a look till now.

The bike in question that I've used this oil with is a 16k mile 2009 Suzuki burgman 650 Executive. This bike calls for 10W40 JASO MA approved T4 4-cycle motorcycle oil which is what I bought. It was due for an oil change....I do don't know what the dealer has used in it (this is my first oil/fluid change). I put this stuff in and the motor seems smoother (could be due to new oil) but was also quieter. This oil has my approval. The presentation is pretty cool. What does that mean? It means the bottle top is of a stretchable plastic so it can be pulled out for easy pouring and retracted for when your storing the oil. This is some good stuff. You kinda see where your money is going with this one and the oil's color is red.

I'm running this in my 2013 Suzuki GSXR-600. There were noticeable improvements during the first ride. The engine runs a bit quieter at idle and at slightly lower temperatures. Shifting feels a little smoother and neutral is easily and quietly found. The red color is nice for the oil level sight glass and the bottle/pour spout made it easier to pour without making a mess. My bike likes this oil and so do I.

I was skeptical about the reviews that claimed they had a noticeable difference in how smooth their bike shifted afterward. I heard the same thing about amsoil before I ran it and didn’t really notice any changes. But with this oil I definantly do, my bike always had a “clunk” when going from nuetral to 1st and ever since I ran this it’s gone. This oil I also much cheaper then what I paid for Amsoil at fleet farm. Will definitely run this oil in my bike from now on!

I currently on a single cylinder Thumper which are more vulnerable to clutch grab than multicylinder bikes. This oil provids cosistent performance between oil changes. It is now my go-to motorcycle oil. Having your clutch grab and stall your engine while pulling into an intersection is scarry stuff. Real synthetic oil

I've been using Motul oils now for a number of years, as they're one of the few companies that sell 'real' synthetic oils - far too many major companies market their altered mineral oils as fully synthetic when they're actually not.

One of my bikes has run 80,000 miles on this, and the engine still feels like new to me. I do change my oil much sooner than the manufacturers recommended mileage, but regular changes using a decent oil pays dividends in the long run.

I've also been running my ride on mower and smaller mower on the same oil and the engines on both are running quieter and cooler. The ride on went in for a service recently to get new blades, etc and the garage were asking about the oil I'm using as the engine runs smoother than most of the others at the same age / usage.

2nd July, 2020 U.K. I've bought this Fully Synthetic 10w 40 Motul oil for my 2006 (last of the line) Triumph Tiger 955i m/c. I bought it from Redcar Services who surprisingly are based in Spain not Yorkshire, but this is a not a problem. Delivery was quite quick. The oil is more expensive than others but I was occasionally having trouble with selecting neutral gear, andthe gear changes were slightly rough. This was not really a worry and I had previously used Castrol 1 (?) for race bikes bought from Halfords. However I was having a read through the previous Triumph Dealer Service History from the early Services about 8-12 years ago and I noticed the Dealer had also used the same Motul 7100 fully Synthetic Oil. So on this oil change I decided that for an extra £10-12 or so if it sorts out the gear changes that were slightly rough and makes them smoother (I had also read this in another review of this Motul oil) then it would be worth it. Hey Presto, it's actually worked the engine sounds sweeter picks up pace a bit quicker (but then it is fresh oil) and the gear change selection is definitely a lot easier and is slicker than it ever was with the Castrol Oil and is back to the more youthful Triumph Tiger gear changes I knew. hope this helps.
