I had issues with installing this. To get it to fit you needed to leave the existing clamp in place to use it as a spacer. However, if you try to torque it to 9 ft-lb (as per the Forza manual), you will destroy the plastic spacers included with the RAM Mount. Instead, I purchased 2 stainless steel bolts: 6mm X 1 X 40mm, used the split washers included with the RAM Mount, and tightened them evenly; torqueing to 9 ft-lb. The RAM mount itself is aluminum and can safely be torqued that amount.
Done this way, neither the RAM spacers nor the original Honda clamp are used and the ball is positioned more forward.
But I managed to get it mounted anyway, by
1. cutting off the supplied screws by 21mm
2. cutting the supplied plastic "spacer" by half, so use only one.
The only remaining issue is that the brake&mirror part which faces the Ram Mount has a portion of metal surface now is exposed (shown in pink arrow) in the photo. Now I guess I'll need to cover it with a piece of grease to prevent it from rusting.
It fits my 09 ZX6R perfectly! Any models from 09-12 are the same BTW
My video explains it all but for short...
Sturdy and great materials
RAM makes the best mounts
155mph does just fine (obviously on private roads;))
I get lots of compliments and Q's about it and people love it!
It does not get in the way even with my Cortech tank bag which covers the whole tank
None at all
I did not get paid by this company although if I were sponsored I would stand behind their products since they are just that good! You gotta give credit where credit is due!
I've used RAM for 2 years now and have never had my phone or GPS fall off
5 Stars No complaints
I would recommend the center triple tree mount as that has the best viewing and cosmetic appearance however this mount allows it easier to see the phone plus it is much cheaper
