The duet gives side-by-side new meaning with its ease of maneuverability and slim, single buggy width. While it's lighter and more compact, the duet still packs a punch with robust engineering and ultra adaptability.
Versatile, convenient, and compact, the Mountain Buggy duet Double Buggy Stroller can be used in either single or double mode to suit the changing needs of your family. This side-by-side stroller accommodates one child or two, from birth up to 5 years. The duet's slender, compact design and 10-inch tires make it easy to maneuver on urban streets or mountain trails, so you can enjoy the fun and freedom of an active lifestyle with kids in tow.

Single or Double Mode Options for Newborns and Toddlers
The Mountain Buggy duet Stroller can accommodate up to 79 pounds of combined weight and is designed for use from birth up through age 5. Two independent seats mean your newborn can fully recline on one side, while your toddler is free to sit upright and watch the world go by on the other.
Travel and Storage Options Add Convenience
For newborns, the duet seats can go into a full lie-flat position. The duet is also compatible with the duet carrycot, as well as with the Graco Snugride infant car seats by use of a seat adaptor (sold separately). Because the duet can handle up to two infant car seats at once, it provides you with a seamless transition from vehicle to trail for one child or twins. As a bonus, the duet's generously sized underseat storage area holds up to 11 pounds of gear.
With the use of the Joey Clip-On Tote Bag (sold separately), the duet converts to a single buggy with plenty of storage. This two-in-one bag features a removable (and recyclable) internal bag that sits within a durable, polyester external bag. The Joey is also interchangeable with the duet and duo, providing you with additional space even as your family grows.
Slim Single-Stroller Width and Pedal Brake
The duet has a lightweight aluminum frame and a compact design with the same 25-inch width as the single Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle stroller. Its 10-inch air-filled tires maneuver smoothly around tight corners, up and down curbs, and through narrow doorways. They also tackle uneven or bumpy terrain with ease. When it's time to stop and chat, the wheels lock securely in place with a pedal brake.
Infinite Position Recline and Five-Point Harness
The Seat Performance System features an easily adjusted, infinite position seat recline between upright and lie-flat. A one hand adjust, twist and slide five-point seat harness provides a range of height positions for a secure, comfortable fit. For easy in and out, the grab bar detaches.
Adjustable Handle Bar for Comfortable Pushing
Whatever your height, you are sure to find a comfortable handle setting for pushing the duet. The handle allows for multiple adjustments and a safety wrist strap ensures a secure grip. Enjoy greater flexibility with one-hand control as you steer through busy malls, subway platforms, or the playground.
Easy-Fold Design for Storage
You can quickly fold the stroller down to a 43-inch height in one smooth action thanks to its slide-release mechanism, which features a secondary lock assembly for added safety at the riser plate (foot rest). When ready to store the stroller, the frame locks securely with a clip and strap on the handle. For the most compact fold, remove the wheels--no tools required.
Adjustable Sun Protection
The duet's fully adjustable and individual hoods provide shaded coverage from the sun in most angles or directions of travel. The flick-out visors keep the sun away from your child's eyes.
The duet is also easy to care for thanks to wipe-clean 100 percent polyester fabric coverings that remove quickly.
Safety and Warranty Information
The duet has been rigorously safety tested and is certified compliant with EN1888:2005, ASTM F833-10-USA, AS/NZS 2088:2010, CPN8-AUS/NZ, and SOR/85-379-Canada standards.
The Mountain Buggy duet Double Buggy Stroller is backed by a manufacturer's limited one-year warranty.

Anyhow, we went back to searching online and watching tons of youtube videos. I got rid of my hope that one stroller would do everything, but this one comes close. I put together a list of must haves and then optional items with priority. Some of the things I love about this stroller is that it fits through doors with ease, has the full recline for infants, you can jog with this (confirmed directly with MB), the handle adjusts for my tall hubby, the mom-facing, free-standing, carry-cot bassinet option for 0-6mo, the side Joey Bag (Bugaboo style), easy gliding, great storage underneath (although hard to reach if kid is in full-recline) and the easy locking foot bar. We were quite nervous that the handle would not provide enough distance from the stroller for my 6'4 husband but it does. He has a long stride and has no issue with this. Also the side-by-side feature really was important. You can easily tend to each kid and adjust canopies, or cover them independently and its easy to get them in and out. Plus they cannot kick or grab each other. I really think this would work well in a lot of different places- amusement parks, malls, church, outdoors, neighborhood walks and jogs. I love that I can have take the freestanding bassinet into restaurants, church pews and also make a downstairs bed.
The tires came a bit flat so we will have to air them up. Pump is not included. Also he noticed that the silver was easily scratched, despite his care in assembling it. I do have some concern on the width of the seats as they really are narrow but I really do not plan on pushing around 5 year olds in this, so I'm okay with that. There is no real handlebar drink storage which would be great to have. The recline is easy enough to adjust but you do have to kneel down and it takes both hands. The canopy is kind of a wobbly fit and I kind of wish it was bigger and provided more wind resistance as there are gaps on the side. And when you adjust the recline the extra fabric bunches up near the kid's head. (Not a huge issue, but a lil annoying). It also has a velcro window on top- but any craft gal can easily add some magnet closure if this really was important to her. Also- how great would it be if they had the optional canopy covers in those jewel tones like JJ Cole?
My most helpful tip I can give is to keep and update a list of your wish list items and must haves when doing looking. After buying this without ever test driving it in person- I love it! I am so glad I took the plunge and went with it.
