Like: Price (this wasn't the cheapest, but it wasn't the most expensive either. I intend to buy another, since this one box only feeds one person for three days, and there are two adults in my household. A big sell was the fact that all you needed was boiling water poured directly into the pouch and the food was ready (a big "yes" in an emergency situation), and I read -- from the comments of others -- that you could use cold water, in a pinch). There was another outfit that had more nutritious food (less salt, more nutritous, more calories, but you had to heat the food for 15 minutes over a stove (which might not be available and would take a lot of fuel). I figured this would tide us through in a true emergency.
Bad: Food has a high salt content, and not enough calories are in each meal for me, much less for my husband. Still, it would mean not going completely hungry for three days, which was good enough. Oh, and from my reading on other sites I wouldn't count on these pouches being good for 30 years. But...even if I replaced it every 15 years it would be good enough.
I'll buy another box of this stuff in a few months (after my pocketbook has recovered).
