In a hidden city made up of were animals Azure and Ever finds a new friend. This new friend defends them and obtains the Book of Branches from the library in the hidden city. I have to say I really like this character, Laurel is a werecat from Lancothy. She is brave, strong, embracing her independence.
All of the characters in this series are growing, or growing on me? I can't keep writing because I'll give too much away. This is a wonderful book, with amazing worlds within worlds. I have to confess, it's the characters that keep me coming back. This series will get you where it counts...your heart.
Why would you tear my heart out of my chest and trample it with hot iron shoes?
That is exactly how I feel about that ending.
When I had a little hope that things were going to move into the right direction you go ahead and smash it to pieces and then blow them into space.
I can't deny I loved the book, Azure and the gang went on such an adventurous journey. I can't believe there was that much action packed into this book without making it 1000 pages. The walk to the MOT was hilarious, having Monet there was the epitome of a good time. That boy is just embarrassingly outspoken.
Mage Lenore could walk hand in hand with Gran since they are both bat s**t crazy and proud of it.
Laurel, the new addition was a welcome sight. The diversity of races in this series is astounding and I'm glad Ms. Come Into My Lair All Will Be Good Noffke took her time in creating this precious balance between the Oricerans. Everybody has a spot on the loony train.
Azure has grown into her role as Queen and it shows in her attitude and her choices. Monet and Gillian make the strangest pair, but it works, they are perfectly imperfect together.
I had high hopes for Azure and Ever, but I will have to wait and see, now that some new evidence has appeared that might put Ever on the roaster for the next witch trials. And, no, I won't tell you what he did, you have to find out for yourselves. If I had to live through that then I'm not making it any easier for you.
Now after that little cliffy I need to know what happens next.
As usual Ms. Noffke is trying to test my sanity levels, and I should say they are low, very low, almost nonexistent. And being the Wicked Witch that she is, I could bet my husband's left nut that she enjoys driving me to insanity, slowly, on a carousel.
P.S. I still love you!
Thank you to the author for the chance to read this amazing book!
