I bought a 13-14 for myself for a hike in Scotland this September. I am 5'1" and 138 pounds of muscle and, even with curves, these fit great. A little snug, but easy to get on over the thermal leggings I have for the trip and plenty of room for my hiking books. They are thin, which is what I wanted as I will roll them up and out them in my pack unless needed. Great purchase.

While I expected these to be lightweight they were much lighter weight than I expected! Kind of like those flimsy bags that you get with umbrellas? Yeah that’s what these remind me of, just waterproof and louder. The loudness isn’t my favorite however they’re definitely waterproof/resistant and that’s amazing!
We live in the PNW and it rains, so having protection for my kiddos is exactly what I was hoping for. We even took them to the snow last weekend and my oldest layered extra under these and had these as the top layer and she stayed dry as the Nevada desert. I think these are definitely worth the money even if they’re kind of loud.

I wanted very lightweight rain pants for my twins. We are a backpacking family and know gear. We haven't tried them out in the rain but they do look well made and fit as expected. They do work well as a wind pant. One thing I don't think they mention in the description is that they come with stuff sacks. Smaller than a tennis ball. Perfect of having the girls carrying them in their packs if needed.

We also have two Mountain Warehouse ski jackets. The girls love them and without question can't beat them for the price. These rain pants are a good deal as well.

I am 4'10" and small frame. Based on the size chart, a child size 11-12 should have fit. It was too short. My slacks extended about 2" below the pants. However, I returned it without charge and got a size 13-14 that fits great. I like that the pants are so easy to pack for hiking - just in case rain hits.

Cheap and flimsy material

Besides the fact that I ordered this product in a size 3-4 years old and received a women's medium (and keep in mind this product description says kids rain pants), the pants were super flimsy and didn't seem as if they'd keep out water at all. Perhaps I received the completely wrong product, but I wouldn't recommend these. I bought Columbia pants instead for the same price.

Pockets woud be nice for the price...

It is hard to find the right fit for a skinny and tall 5 year old these days. We barely got into these pants and we are already thinking about the size up, but all the same they do fit him for now. The surprise discovery, there are two holes on both sides, but no pockets! Apparently, the design is assuming that these will be worn over some other pants underneath, and that the holes will be handy to reach into the pockets of the first pair. Well, in a real world, it rains when it is relatively warm outside and underneath is only underwear. And the holes make that underwear "to shine" thorough the holes unexpectedly. It is fortunate that 4 and 5 year old do not have high standards for their privacy and do not care. On a practical side, the holes without real pockets make the pants less waterproof, when you really in a rain. I would recommend to put in a real underling, but I guess it would raise the already steep price. That's right they are a bit too expensive for the product and a bit less waterproof because of the design, so expect the holes and no pockets for $30.

had to return both pairs of size 7/8 girls rainpants, and reordered 9/10. She is age 6, but big for her age, usually 7/8 is plenty big enough. These weren't. So they are good pants, just too small. I returned both too small pants in same package as received, hopefully I will get refund for both. This is a very good deal for breathable, waterproof pants for kids.

My daughter went off on a night-time hike with her scout group and was advised to get some waterproof pants in case of inclement weather. These pants had pretty good reviews and essentially - for us at least - were reasonably priced. Available in three different colours, we opted for black so that they would match with pretty much whatever she chose to wear. Aged 11 and of average height and build, we picked up the 11-12 sizing and they were a perfect fit - a good elastic waistband, with perfect fitting length. The ankle area can be adjusted with a velcro strap, but this didn't adjust so far that it was flush with my daughter's ankle circumference, but enough so that they didn't flap about and stopped any draught. They fit well over her jogging pants and were comfortable to wear.

On her hike, she ended up knee-deep in mud (I am assuming she wasn't using her torch very effectively!), having to be pulled out by the scout leader. Although her hiking shoes were completely caked in mud, which also penetrated the inside of her shoe and soaked her sock, the waterproof pants protected her jogging pants underneath. I was really impressed by that - possibly there was some sort of vacuum effect? - which also saved me a job of flaking mud off clothing before bunging them into the washer.

The pants are waterproof, help buffer the wind and are comfortable to wear. Apparently also effective in protecting underclothes in sinking mud pools!

I bought these waterproof trousers for my almost 7 year old in a size 9-10 as she is very tall for her age. They fit well with a room to grow, but lengthwise I am happy I went with the size above. They are indeed waterproof and having used them for a very wet tobogganing session, she stayed perfectly dry underneath. The trousers come in their own little pouch, so great for taking away in a bag. The bottom of the trousers is equipped with velcro for tighter fit around the ankles.
