A bit disappointed with the quality and attention to detail of this product. The white backing used to house all the fittings on mine arrived warped. It curves outward about a half inch away from the wall at the bottom. Not a deal breaker for sending it back, but still disappointed that the manufacture would let it leave their factory that way.
I also found that one of the bolts was inserted crooked. Show's the manufacture isn't too concerned with attention to detail.

They proudly display that this is made in the USA. I'd be embarrassed to have this shipped to another country with the "made in the USA" label.

This is one of those things that you never realize the benefit of till you have it. Having this hung up in the garage makes it super convenient to find the exact size and pitch when you need it, so easy that you double check anyways if you have any doubt.

I do wish there were more metric fittings on it though. It does have quite a few, but it won't help you on those larger suspension bolts...

Quality, fit, and finish are top notch!

I ordered this tool expecting to get a thread checker similar to one that I used at a local national hardware retailer. What I got was a tool that I would consider an excellent thread checker that will last for years. I don't think I will be able to wear it out in my lifetime. One of the things that I couldn't tell from the picture is how the thread checker worked in terms of the thickness of the gauge. Well each checker has about a half inch of thread upon which to thread either a bolt or a nut. Some thread checkers are drilled through a thick piece of metal and have only a two or three threads within that thickness. This thread checker is not like that. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Often times I have to guess what size or thread type a bolt or nut has. This Thread Checker has come in mighty handy in either correcting or confirming my best guess. on top of handling NPT threads, it also checks Metric threads, and also has a nifty ruler on the bottom to check the length of a bolt or screw. (Which you could also easily use a tape measure for, but hey, we're all a little lazy, right?) It also has a small section where you can check screw sizes (#10, #12, #14, etc.). I am sure I will be using this for years to come. The material is it made of is some sort of 3/4" polycarbinate material. It bends a little but seems sturdy enough. The holes in the top and bottom make for easy hanging anywhere in your shop. I consider this a great purchase.

Perfect tool for the garage wall. Well made, and all the threads are metal, and of reasonable length (so you can really check the threads - not possible with the thin metal thread checkers).

The main body is made of plastic (vinyl I think) about 1/3" thick; it tends to bend a little, but once mounted to the wall (three screw holes are pre-drilled and countersunk) that's not an issue.

If You Have Wavy Walls Then Your In Luck.I was EXTREMELY excited for this item. Very Professional looking and I planned on using this for my business for myself and others to use. Well unfortunately the backing is made of compressed paper board. S&W Manufacturing are you kidding me!!! It was bent all wavy out of the box. But it bent right back into shape when I screwed it to the wall. I assumed (Never assume anything) this would be made of white acrylic or something of a better quality. I am very scared that this cheap paperboard is going to strip out very easily and then I am out $$$$. Made in the USA but made like it was from CHINA! I understand as a business owner to keep prices low to create good margins but this corner cut just cost you because I will not buy anymore of your (I thought was good quality) products. I will not return it because I really need it now.
