The gun is solid and looks great. The Move Controller and Navigation Controller fit in it well. The trigger works the Move controller trigger very effectively and the Select, Start, L1 and L2 buttons also work quite well and are in a comfortable position.

I liked how you can convert the gun from a Rifle to a Sub-Machine gun to a solid Desert Eagle style pistol.

The Grip is rather large so it is more comfortable for people with bigger hands. The trigger needs pulled a little further than I would like but it works really well, so that is a miner thing. I have been playing Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 11 with this gun and it makes the game much more fun. My only complaint would be that the reload button is the Move button and is awkwardly located on top of the gun. This is more of an issue with the game not letting you customize the control scheme than a issue with the gun but if the Move controller was set in the gun on its side that would remedy this for games that don't offer custom controller setup.

This gun also works well with Killzone 3. The new top shot elite has better button placment as far as what you need to play the Killzone. I personally like how this gun has the nav controler in the grip rather than out in front of the gun like the Top Shot.

I bought the PS3 Move Battle Rifle because I only have one Move compatible game: House of the Dead Overkill Director's Cut Extended Edition. I wanted to use this accessory to help my aiming. I have to say that it worked INCREDIBLY well. The Battle Rifle is lightweight but is of excellent quality. It may be light, but you can feel how durable it is. This particular rifle has a total of 5 configurations, however some of them are simply some of the smaller configurations with either the butt-stock or barrel attached.

The buttons are solid, however, they merely activate levers and such or press the corresponding buttons on the controllers. The trigger pulls the trigger on the Move controller, Select and Start are on their respective sides of the weapon and merely push though to the actual buttons beneath. The L1 and L2 buttons on the body of the rifle (roughly where the safety would be on a real rifle) press those two buttons on the Navigation controller which rests comfortably in the pistol grip. The Move controller itself snaps into the top of the gun and is held in place in the back. Both controllers are held safe and sound in their places and the buttons are good and responsive.

This brings me to some issues I noticed: The first one isn't a problem for me, but it bears mentioning for those who read these reviews. The navigation controller is held in the handle and is positioned so that the D-Pad, analog stick, X and Circle buttons are accessible to the player's thumb. The issue that some people might have is the pistol grip is round but terribly wide. I'm 6'1", correctly proportioned with hands that fit well in XL gloves and the grip on this thing is just within the extent of what I would consider "comfortable".

The other issue is more with the game rather than the device itself. The problem is that since this controller presses the buttons mechanically it reveals the fatal flaw of most Move shooters: The Move button is key in most games. For example, in Time Crisis 4 it is used to take cover and reload (something those of you familiar with the Time Crisis series know you do often), and it's used to reload in HotD Overkill. It sits on top of the controller and this rifle doesn't have anything up there to press it. In HotD it's an inconvenience. In something like Time Crisis 4 I think this could be a deal breaker. And what makes it all the worse is that HotD (at least) doesn't allow you to customize the button mapping to make it easier to reload. The four main buttons from the Playstation controller surround the move button and the X button is used to switch weapons while Triangle is used to fire grenades. These aren't used as often as reload but it is still a bit of a pain to hit them on the fly.

All in all I recommend this for people looking for an inexpensive but well made rifle accessory for their Playstation Move. Because of its solid construction and feel I label this as a "must-buy" for anyone looking...with a cautionary word thrown in for those of you who are shorter, younger, or just have smaller hands. I gave it 5 of 5 because I don't have an issue with the grip and the button issues are with the games, not the accessory.

I purchased this controller so I can play my first person shooters on the PS3 Move.
I picked up the new SOCOM 4 video game and gave it a good run though. First thing I noticed was that the calibration was not not very accurate. I went through the steps and looked down the barrel and the aim was off a good 3 inches to the left. As soon as I aimed off the screen and brought the rifle back onto the screen, the aim was off so bad that it was unplayable.(Had to aim to the right of my Television) The location of the buttons were tough too. If the game called for hitting L2 and a direction, I quickly realized that unless I had E.T fingers that the buttons were way too far apart. You have to take a free hand off the rifle, reach around a press a button. NOT GOOD.. After only 5 minutes, I had boxed it up and tossed it on the closet. It would never work as anyone who plays a good FPS would like it to. It looked promising, but in the end.. It was an epic failure.

L2 and L1 buttons hard to press, or do not work at all. Very good idea, love how everything is modular. Buttons on move controller should have been remapped to the side of the gun. Everything is spaced too far apart to be convenient.

The gun itself is well made with fairly good button placement. The biggest issues I have with this gun is the handle where the navigator goes is huge and unergonomic. The trigger pull is also way too long but has a nice resistance to it. Having the navigator in the grip actually feels natural when moving around though I wonder if it would be better to have it as part of the front grip which would solve the unnatural trigger grip issue.

I would have give the gun an extra star (it does make playing Move gun games that much more fun) but I really can't recommend Move shooters yet (and by extension anyone spending extra money for peripherals). Compared to the GUNCON 2 on the PS2, the move is just too inaccurate and loses calibration quickly. I used to play Time Crisis 2 on the PS2 and loved it, button placement was perfect and there was no calibration needed. I bought the Move partially for Time Crisis, Razing Storm. I can't tell you how annoying it is that the sites don't line up with where I am pointing the gun just because I shifted my body a bit. Also losing calibration in the story mode means you are looking at the floor all the time. Hopefully future games will fix these issues.

To those who say you can't blame the peripheral for the issues the games have, without the game it is just a toy gun. If games come out that make this a good purchase I'll update my review. I can't recommend people buy this until there are actual games that work well with it.

and the build quality is not very good , seams are not glued tight, very sloppy. not impressed.
    will try and return it.
