The Colonial Marines have been waiting a long time for a figure of this quality to represent them. There have been several renditions of Aliens figures that have all fallen painfully short in giving us a quality Colonial Marine but that has now changed.

The Corporal Hicks figure from McFarlane Toys catches the character of the target perfectly. Every detail is there - from a motion tracker and pulse rifle complete with shoulder straps, to the welder hanging from the belt to the shoulder lamp to the heart painted on the armor, every detail is there. You have to see the figure to appreciate all these details, I can't explain them all in a short review! For any fan of Aliens or the Colonial Marines this figure is a must have at any price.

I just received this in the mail today and so far its a pretty good figure considering that its almost 10 years old! But lets get to some detail now! Paint. The paint is your average McFarlane, not to many flaws, but they're there. He has most of the little graffiti markings all over him, but the NECA version shows more. His skin tone is pretty good, maybe a bit too pale but it works, and last of all the Pulse Rifle has that scratched up metal look to it. Sculpt. The Sculpt is pretty good but not the best, considering that its 10 years old. His face in ways looks like Michael Biehn's face, but not the best, but like I said before, Its a 10-year-old figure. Articulation. Not much here but he's still a great display piece! What he does have is, A ball jointed head (I think), pin in socket shoulders, a swivel at the wrists, and a cut knee. Accessories. Hicks comes with his Pulse Rifle, A removable knife on his chest, a itty bitty little tracker device (recommended to keep it in its little plastic bag if you even care about it), and last but not least, his display base. Overall, he's a good figure for display but not something your little kids would like, unless they don't care about the lack of articulation. I found this for a total of $11:00, with free 2 day shipping, so if you can find him and your an Aliens fan, I would go ahead and get him.

All right this is a good figure. But like the other people mentioed mine had no motion tracker or helmet. Some verisons of this figure do have these. There is also a club version of the figure with a shotgun, alien egg, motion tracker, facehugger and a helmet. Anyways this a great sclupture for any aliens fan but it has low poseablity and lots of detail.

I was really happy to see Colonial Hicks arrive in the mail and was pack very well from the seller so that it was protected from any damage during the trip. The Colonial Hicks is a really excellent figure for all collectors of Alien memorabilia. There are two versions of Colonial Hicks one is standard stance of holding a pulse rifle with just a headset and the other is with a shot gun, helmet and alien egg. Personally i prefer the standard Hicks because i do believe you can pose it with other figures for example a Alien figure attacking next to figure gives it a more realistic view just like from the movie or perhaps if McFARLANE would come out with a Hudson, Vasquez, Ripley and perhaps the other character figures from the film to match Hicks. Still both figures of Hicks are excellent collections and i would highly recommend them.

I ordered this for my brother for Christmas. Although there's not a whole lot as far as being able to make different poses, it's still a fun toy and collectors item. Recommended for Aliens fans.
