Compatible? I'm not sure what you mean. I can connect my walkman to the ps3 and transfer songs to and from it. I can also play it from walkman itself w/o transferring to the ps3. I'm pretty sure on my ipod, before it died i could do that too.

Rabbit, are you sure that's true for iPods? Because I know they sync to iTunes for a reason and I don't think you can put music on them without iTunes.

Well, it might be possible IF the hidden folder MUSIC shows up on the PS3, that's where iPod stores the mp3s.

Good luck. I use my Motorola V9 as an MP3 player. 'PS3 does everything' my azz. It doesn't pair with bluetooth phones. It also does not read mp3 files from a phone when connected via USB. Oh, and it also does not seem to read mp3 files from an SD card. I guess the memory card slots are just there for decoration.

Yea I'm not sure if it reads songs from iTunes either.. Atleast it won't show up when I'm trying to stream MP3's.. Maybe if I copy songs from whatever the Music folder is from iTunes and paste them in the right spot?

Weird. I know I could use my Ipod with it, but mine was old. Also it might be worth noting that my phone is sony, and so is my mp3 player now, walkman x series.

Oh I do remember I had to do this roundabout way to get it to work though. I had to go "show all folder" in the ps3 to make it should all the stuff. Oh and the titles won't be the song titles. I'll be like 0803jkalsa0d8 some crap like that. Apple stuff is gay like that.
