I feel like some of these negative reviews are from people expecting a burr quality grinder at the price of a blade grinder and that's just not going to happen.
For those who don't know a burr grinder uses two burrs set a certain distance from one another to literally crush and grind the beans. These burrs are adjustable to determine how fine or coarse you'd like your grind. Most of them are automatic, meaning you can select the fineness, select the amount of ground coffee and the grinder will do the work. Burr grinders have more settings, are more consistent and are also much more expensive.
A blade grinder chops up the beans by taking a steel blade and spinning it at a variable speed. The slower the speed, the more coarse the grind. The faster, the more fine. Another element to take into account is the length of time you have the blades spinning. They are typically smaller, manual (meaning you have to hold the button down the entire time), less consistent and much more affordable. Like anything with a motor and a blade (a blender, a food processor, garbage disposal, etc) the longer the motor is running, the hotter it gets. An easy trick if you're looking for a finer grind with a blade grinder is to run it for 20 seconds or so, let it rest for 20 seconds and repeat until the grind looks how you'd like it. Now onto this grinder:
The Pros:
-For a $20 blade grinder, I'm impressed. I have a french press, a pour over and an espresso maker and this thing does a decent job with all 3. I also managed my expectations when attempting to get the fine powder needed for the espresso. I knew it wasn't going to be as good as my burr grinder but I will say that on the fine setting and using the 20 seconds off, 20 seconds on technique mentioned above, I definitely had coffee powder stuck to the sides of the bean chamber, which is a good sign.
-The variable speed selection is really nice because with a lot of blade grinders, the blades wind up to speed as you hold the button down but it's difficult to gauge how fast or how slow the blades are spinning.
-If aesthetics are your thing, I personally think this is one of the more attractive blade grinders out there with the lights and the sleek black plastic.
-For storage, the cord wraps up neatly into a track located on the bottom of the grinder.
-Separating and attaching the lid from the bean/grind chamber and the chamber from the motor is extremely quick and easy
The Cons:
-As others have mentioned, the chamber even with the lid off is a bit challenging to get coffee grounds out of, especially as you near the bottom. Whether you're pouring the coffee out or scooping it out, since the blades are in the way, it can be a pain but this is minor.
-Because of this same issue, cleaning can also be a little tough down on the bottom of the chamber, especially if your grind is more fine. I've found that letting hot water and some lemon juice sit in the chamber for a bit and then using a simple stiff-bristle scrub brush does the trick.
-I wish the cord was a bit longer but this is also minor.
I grind for a few seconds, shake the container to mix up the grinds, then grind for a few more seconds. I repeat till I get the consistency I want. I tried just pushing down and letting the internal timer go till it considers itself done, that was a mistake, since its like using a blender with just a small single blade at the bottom, you are going to get very inconsistent grinds if you do that. When I tried that, I had a mix of decently sized grinds and large chunks of beans that were barely touched by the blade. You have to actively mix between grinding bursts to get a somewhat consistent grind.
If you arent expecting amazing things from this cheap grinder, I think you will be more than satisfied. It does the job more than adequately, though it is a far cry from what you can get for a much higher price tag.

Pros:
- Buena relación calidad precio
- Compacto y no ocupa mucho lugar
