I did find it online from another retailer for about $30 less, so look around and you might find it for less.
UPDATE: I've owned this brewer for two months now and I love it even more than when I first bought it. I wish I could give it SIX STARS! I grind my own beans at night, set it to automatically brew in the morning, and I wake up to piping hot, great tasting coffee. I have not had any problems with "leaks" reported by some other reviewers, so I don't know if they simply not seating the reservoir properly or what. The reviewer who stated "The water tank leaks all over the counter!" and " Where the water tank connects with the machine water simply squirts out everywhere flooding the counter!" is either completely incompetent or is just disgruntled and making stuff up.
UPDATE 2: Have owned this machine for 15 months now. Still excellent!
The coffee comes out piping hot every time and it stays hot in the caraffe for many many hours without getting that old burnt coffee taste. I highly recommend this product and it is too bad some reviewers have given it a bad rep.
The carafe sits in a detent in the hot-plate and if it isn't seated properly steam will rise from the pot and cause condensation to form inside the clock lens. When that happens the clock hands will stop being displayed. It happened five or six times before I figured out why. The first time it happened I was without the clock for nearly two weeks before it decided to start working again. After several occurrences I discovered that unplugging the pot while I went to work would get the clock back to normal. Just make sure the carafe is completely seated and you shouldn't experience this.
There is a rather large opening in the rear of the unit that is designed for cord storage. Not everyone will have this problem, but I live in an apartment complex and there is a real epidemic of large cockroaches (sometimes called Palmetto bugs) which get into the apartments through inadequately sealed floors, cabinets, etc. These bugs simply adore the heat and moisture of a coffee pot and that big opening attracts them to nest in there.Read more ›

Well it did not last long. I think it is for folks who make maybe 2 pots a day. We make about 3/4 pots a day, and it was not up to the game for us.Published 1 month ago by Kelley McFarland
