About the Author

Chris Hutchins left journalism in order to pursue a career as an author. Mostly he writes books about other people's lives. It was a fellow author, Ray Connolly, who urged him to write one about his own.

This is a remarkable account of a remarkable life but I wonder how it will all end. Richard Branson should feel lucky that he ever met Chris Hutchins and the same goes for Tom Jones, Elvis Presley and the Beatles. It's an amazing story but I felt very sad for the author when I'd finished it. I hear he's doing a book on Putin next, I hope he's going to survive the Russians.

If you weren't, maybe not so much. A lot of references to famous English entertainers. Mostly lost on me. Some interesting thngs about Elvis' colonel but not enough to warrant buying this book.
