Bad: Reception will vary tremendously depending on where in your vehicle you mount it. (Underneath the dash gave me almost nothing!). AM reception is virtually nil.
End result: When I've got a free weekend, I'll spend most of it replacing this with an OEM antenna. Wish me luck.
after hook up it didn't get any signal , then when I tried to move it
the wire pulled out from the ant. plug in. (Sorry that there is no JUNK Star)
I had to use a female-female adapter cord for the antenna. There was a 3 wire harness for the power antenna. One wire was ground, one gave +12v when car was off, and one wire gave +12v when radio was on. I simply wired this controller to the ground and +12v wire when radio was on with T-splices.
Reception is about the same as with the antenna.
I am pleased. The power antenna was a real eye-sore, this was a good, cheap alternative.

Excellent product. Picked up all the station that a normal antenna would but didn't have to drill holes in my fenderPublished 15 months ago by cableguy
Met a babe on e-harmony tonight . Didn't think it would be a good idea to talk about my antenna on first date , but I got good receptionPublished 16 months ago by Mark M.
Poor reception and a very bulky unit. I even mounted it on the windshield. Will be buying a different type soon to replace this one. Not impressed.Published on April 26, 2014 by Jack Sucilsky
Stay away, this is powered by 12 v, but my rusted passive antenna receives much better reception than this .Published on January 6, 2014 by abu
