Mrs Potato Head hasn't aged a bit

This will bring back a lot of memories from childhood for a lot of people. I have no idea how old the Mr Potato Head franchise is, but I had them back when I was a kid, and that's been a few decades. We bought this and a few others for my granddaughter and she's enjoying it as much as we did.

We got the Mrs and the Mr along with a bucket of random parts and another generic head and the kids are having a blast swapping the parts and making new funny characters. It's true.... if yesterday's kids enjoyed something and thought it hilarious, today's kids will also love it. Humans have the same funny bone today that they have always had.

I do however recommend a strategy in dealing with parts or you will walk on them in the middle of the night. The parts won't be damaged as they are incredibly resilient, but your feet won't be so lucky. We got the "Potato Head Playskool Mr.Potato Head Tater Tub" to go with it for the sake of variety, but also secretly as a place we knew could have them put the parts they weren't using.

The Potato Heads are highly recommended for kids of all ages. Considering I saw my son having fun with it as much as his kids [and I did too], this was easily one of the top and most universally enjoyed gifts from Christmas. And most highly recommended.

Classic toy that is fun for any little kid. My only complaint is that many of the pieces don't seem to stick into the potato head very well. The hair doesnt stay on at all and the legs also fall off easily. For little toddler hands that carry it around, this is frustrating when they just want to show you the funny face they made, but the pieces all fall out on the walk over to show it off!

Doesn't feel like the old Mr.Potato head I grew to love. The quality seems much more cheaply made now. But my kids don't know any different and they play with it like crazy and they love it. Minus losing pieces all the time and the quality decrease from way back (which is common these days), I still recommend this product because it has lasted and the kids enjoy it and that is what it was purchased for.

It's a cute idea but the pieces are really hard to push in and take out. So consider that when buying for a younger kiddo. I also wish it came with more accessories even if slightly more pricey. I got the cheaper one in case my daughter was not too interested and now see to get more accessories you need to buy another potato. So may want to spring for more expensive one up front. The other issue to note is that the hair does not stay on at all. Which is kinda annoying.

I didn't expect much for a $5 Mrs. Potato head, but I did expect the pieces to work better than these. I'll say first that our daughter (age 2) LOVES her and wouldn't change a thing. Me on the other hand, a picky girl of the 80's remembers her first Mr. Potato head and expected a bit more. The hair does NOT stay on her head as pictured. It's almost impossible to get it to say on unless you stick a random body part through one of the holes in both the head and the hair (fun to do!). The nose is almost impossible to get in and out without help, and her booty trunk pops open even when you close it. There are also barely any accessories. This Mrs. Potato head only comes with what is pictured...nothing else! Just know that going into it. As I said before, our daughter loves it and lets face it, it costs $5. I know I can't complain too much. Knowing what I know, yes, I would buy it again.
