All I can say is that the camera work is beautiful and artistic. For instance, you'll oftentimes have Elliot's head in the corner of a frame rather than just straight-on... as if to tempt the viewer to look around in the scenery... almost as a simple play off of Elliot's paranoia. Scalpel precision is used to capture delicate facial expressions, subtle eye movements, and collect every ounce of energy that the cast gives off.
I feel that I'm running myself ragged here, but I literally could go on-and-on about how many things I like about this show. Mr. Robot is a true 5 star show to me. Great cinematography, a stellar cast, and I can't get enough of it-- an instant classic.
So when I heard, Computer Security Expert Steve Gibson recommend the show on his Security Now Podcast. I decided to put my fear aside and check it out.
WOW, am I glad I did! Not only is it one of the best dramas on TV, but THEY GOT THE TECHNOLOGHY RIGHT!
a lot of "techy" terms they use. If you love computers and realize the power and potential of them in today's world of technology. Or if your some I.T guy that understands coding etc, this show will capture your interest instantly while thrilling in its own unique ways. This show is about the underworld of computer hacking and its good and ugly side of it. And how society is so vulnerable by the technology we use, to your I-Phone's and to anything that uses a cpu, computer to run its operational purpose, which is literally everything we see and use today.
One of the interesting twists is the view from inside a person who has mental health issues and how one might function. Don't let this deter you because this will probably will be one of the trippiest things you've ever seen. The dialogue of the inner thoughts is poignant, touching, revelatory and seems as if it must be written by someone with some sort of personal insight.
A group of world class hackers take down the New York (read: the world) banking system, represented by the mega corporation, Evil Corp. The Evil Corp logo is very similar to the Enron logo; among many cultural references which inform Mr Robot, there is an reference to Pulp Fiction, so be warned that there is violence in this take no prisoners (for long) story.
To use a well worn phrase, Mr Robot may be the best TV show you aren't watching. True that.
