Mr. Tall is sad because his legs are too long. He meets his friends Mr. Small, Mr. Tickle, Mr. Nosey, Mr. Greedy who all have problems that they have turned into benefits. All of his friends show Mr. Tall that he doesn't have to be sad because he has long legs.
This book contains 30 pages of brightly colored pictures that will catch the eye of any youngster. It also teaches them a good lesson that you should be happy with how you look.
My son really liked this book. He said that Mr. Tall was funny because his legs were so long.

Some of the Mr. Men series are better than others. This one is good, teaching about accepting who you are and realizing your potential. Other Mr. Men characters appear to make it more interesting. Highly recommended - my 6 and 3 year olds both enjoy it.

Even as an adult, I've always loved Mr. Tall because of his extremely long legs and big feet. The drastic contrast between Mr. Tall and Mr. Small in this book is hilarious. I don't care if I am an adult, I LOVE THIS BOOK!

This was our first book in the Mr. Men series. The men in our household are tall so we thought this would be a good start. The writing is funny and witty and will entertain children and adults alike. The ending was surprising and very funny as well. Lots of laughs.

A little bit about the story... (SPOILER ALERT). Mr. Tall is sad because his legs are very long. Along the way, he meets Mr. Small and other Mr. Men who help Mr. Tall realize that things that "flaws" can actually be benefits.

I had these books when I was a kid and loved them. Somehow, I lost track of them so I am buying them again for my kids. Roger Hargreaves has a great "dry" sense of humor. I may like the books more than my kids!

My daughter loves the Mr. Man collection. I read to her at bed time and she wanted a new one. She picked "Mr. Tall" and enjoys it a lot.

P.S. - in some of the illustrations the characters don't have mouth. My daughter is quite puzzled when she sees that. If anybody has a good explanation for that, I'd like to hear it :)

Maybe the author could make the illustrations more anatomically correct - kids are very good at spotting this kind of things.

Mr Tall is a tall man. Well, he's just got really long legs, hasn't he? This makes him sad, and this sadness is what makes the book, I feel. It's bittersweet and romantic and brilliant.

I read to 4th graders and they absolutely love these books. They request more and more of them. I'm glad a classic book from when I was young is interesting to kids now.
