Gloria Faye Brown Bates lives in Louisburg, North Carolina with her husband, Stafford (Skip) Bates, and their two spoiled Pups, Kissy Fairchild and Sweet Chadwick Elsworth. Now... they have a third Pup... Precious Camie Rose. Gloria rescued this little puppy... she is as spoiled as Kissy, and Chadwick.
Gloria has three published books. The first being a fiction/thriller book. 'When She's Good... She's Good'... is an introduction to the saga of an ongoing series about Victoria Fairchild. She is in the process of writing book two called... 'The Saga of Victoria Fairchild'.
Victoria Fairchild doesn't like people who mistreats, or abuses people and animals. She ... believes in an eye for an eye. When Victoria is good, she is very good... when Victoria is bad... she is very, very bad.
Gloria's second book is 'I CRY FOR TOMMY'. This book is true, every page full of grief, pain as she wrote while in the throes of pure grief. She doesn't sugar-coat anything.
Read about pure grief as a mother writes her pain of losing her son, her only child. She writes to never forget Tommy. She never found anything to help her with her grief... she began writing the pain.
As she typed each word, every stroke was pure pain from her heart, diamond tear drops fell from her eyes.
If she could, she'd design a 'Grieving Mother's Ring'... diamond tear drops cascading into a diamond pool. In her mind, she can see it, wish for it... maybe one day.
She writes so, one day her grandson and granddaughter can find her, know her as a person, to know they were loved, thought of. She may never know them while she is living.
Please don't forget Tommy. Now, that she has written her book about Tommy, she can finally have peace of mind.
She kept her own promise to... never forget Tommy, to make his memory live on.
Tommy Mitchell Sidden
Tommy died at the young age of 40. He made it to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, just in time to run, play with his little 3 year old son at the ocean.
They were running, squealing, laughing when Tommy collapsed on the sand. People nearby were watching, came to protect his little son until his mommy could get there.
The phone rang... a woman answered 200 miles away in North Carolina, with a smiling voice, seeing it was her son calling on the Caller ID.
A man's voice said, "ma'am, I have a man lying here on the sand. He's not breathing". He had picked Tommy's cellphone up, dialed the last number called.
The woman never felt her smile slip away, follow her into the Dark World. She didn't remember very much for many months.
This was when this mother became 'this grieving mother'. She knew pain intimately in one form or other all her life... this pain was greater than any she ever had known in her whole life.
Enter the Dark World, walk on her path with her. Read what she's forgotten she wrote while on her dark journey. Gloria didn't remember writing so much of what is in this book... but, she 'knew' it. Her son had died... her only child had gone... she had never experienced such pain in her life.
Please help her to remember Tommy. It is her wish for everyone who reads her book to have compassion for grieving mothers. They will sit back, smile like everything's all right to keep from adding pain into your life... you can't imagine what her soft, sweet smile is hiding.
After all, mothers are like that. They care for your needs, make everything all right for you... they don't worry you with their troubles.
Come visit her blog, follow her. She welcomes you to travel with her as she continues the journey of her life. See her photos of Tommy, see his sunshine smile. Feel her pain, help her to remember Tommy. You can visit her blog at:
Gloria's third published book is CAMIE'S ANGEL, a true story. It's about the little puppy she rescued July 04, 2013. It lay dying on the cold, wet ground when she found her.
When Gloria picked the puppy up; maggots fell from her little body. The puppy was dying; no hair on its body... skin oozing clear fluid, blood. Gloria was going to do the best she could for the puppy... if it died, it wasn't going to die alone.
