I've cut my bleach usage in half, because I don't need it when using Mrs. Stewarts!
You only use a very small amount and one bottle lasts about 6 months.
Where has this been all my life!!
What I do use this for is taking the yellow out of my gray hair. It does a fantastic job of brightening my hair in one treatment. After I use it people notice the change and I get complements about my hair and its' shiny silver coloring. As an experiment I tried using more that a few drops diluted in water to get the "old lady blue hair" look and this product doesn't seem to create it.
I have to say that even if I didn't love this stuff for the environmental benefits, it is just plain better than bleach. My clothes come out much whiter than they ever did with bleach. It's an optical trick, but as long as it works, great!
Also, I don't even bother waiting for the rinse cycle. I toss this stuff into the main wash, and it works just the same.

I have white silk sheets and they were yellowing and I can only use cold water and soft detergents on this material so it was impossible to be clean again. Read morePublished 9 days ago by Kim
Wow! My whites are white again instead of grey (ewww!). Make sure to follow instructions completely or there is potential to turn them blue.Published 12 days ago by Theresa W
Maybe I am not using it right, though I think I am, but I just don't really see my whites being any whiter with the addition of this to the washing machine.Published 13 days ago by Kaitie Giblin
I used this product on an old baptismal gown that had yellowed with age. It is now sparkling white!!Published 16 days ago by Renae Leone
