I was born in Cape Town, South Africa but have lived in many different countries. I am the author of the self-help book Fear, Phobias and Frozen Feet as well as the novel Stop the world, I need to pee! a fictional account of the life and crimes of Fenella Fisher. In January 2010 I published The Case of Billy B which is a story about a father and son who face some immense challenges in life, including a psychopathic stalker. In April I finished Fighting Fisi, a children's picture book about bullying which is in the process of being published.
Currently, I am working on Boko, a children's story about a child soldier; Not Telling, a story about two sisters and their relationship over the years; and the next in my Fenella Series, called Toxic Weeds. All three of my current projects are very different to each other, and challenging in their own way.
In June 2009 I left China for good and moved on to Tanzania, where I now stay at the foot of Kilimanjaro. I have very eclectic tastes in most things - art, literature, cooking, writing, history, interesting discussions, making sausages and traveling. I think I have a good sense of humour but I can write about serious topics as well as completely offbeat off the wall stuff, which I do on http://hubpages.com/profile/cindyvine. I'd like to attract armchair travelers to my Travel Hubs, demented quirky retrobates to my offbeat hubs, people who've suffered abuse to my relationships hubs and more serious-minded intellectual-types to my more serious topics. Hopefully, I can cater to everybody's tastes.
