There are lots of really approachable recipes in this book and not too many weird ingredients. I have just made the chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, I did fairy cakes because I think cupcakes are too big! The book gives a guide to make cupcakes and fairy cakes and there are lots of good tips like that throughout. The recipe was easy to follow and successful. It’s amazing that you can get light fluffy cakes with no egg. I’m not really a cake person but my family are and I’m trying to encourage us all to try more vegan things. Everyone liked them and said they didn’t taste any different. I don’t think they taste the same as traditional cupcakes but they are pretty delicious and much nicer than a shop bought cake vegan or not. The book has lovely pictures and lots of other recipes I’m looking forward to trying out. I ran out of soya milk so used almond milk in the cupcakes and it didn’t make a difference. The ingredients are no more expensive than making regular cakes.
