Neat accessory but needs practice to perfect its use.

This Mini LED light for mobile phones is a handy little accessory that provides great lighting for a variety of purposes. It comes in a smart display package the contents of which are as follows (1st photo):• Digital LED light• Phone mount adapter• Earphone socket adapter• USB charging leadThe light is marketed as a "video light" which is something that I have not used it for but it is a very good flashlight, capable of providing enough light to comfortably find your way around a darkened room, and it is quite useful as lighting when taking photo's of fairly close objects. It could also serve to fend off attackers by simply shining it in their face and totally blinding them :).Before first time use you need to charge the light using the supplied USB charging lead, I'm not sure how long this took as I fell asleep during the process but when I awoke the red light which indicates that the unit is charging had changed to green and so, having unplugged it, I was ready to try it out. I was using an iPhone 5s to test this light out so I had to remove the plastic phone mount which comes pre-fitted to the base of the light and screw in the supplied earphone socket adapter. With this done it was merely a matter of plugging the adapter into the socket and switching the light on - this was a bit fiddly as the ON/OFF button is really tiny.I felt that the 32 LED's were a little harsh when lighting objects for photography but they did have the effect of noticeably enhancing small details (except where highlights blew them out), I have shown this in my second photo which is a comparison of photo's taken with and without the light. The last photo is just to show the positioning of the light in normal use - on the iPhone it hangs underneath the phone when in portrait mode.I like the idea of this accessory and I feel that with more practice I will be able to work out how best to use it without blowing out the highlights in photo's or creating uneven lighting and harsh shadows - I might even try it with a few video clips!• I was provided with this product in exchange for an honest, unbiased review

No instructions at all. I got more information reading these reviews than from the manufacturer (thanks everyone). One thing not touched on by anyone is that you have to use a very small phillips head screwdriver to remove the bracket that holds the "L" shaped slider that is in place from the box. I tugged and twisted at first and found it strange that you need the screwdriver. I suggest you do this over a container or at least a piece of white paper as the screw is tiny and black and easily dropped. I have an I-Phone 5 so the L bracket is too loose on my phone and with the case I use it is a bit too tight and not a good fit. So I will just use it with the post that fits into the 3.5 jack. The light is very bright so, ladies, you could even keep this in your purse or pocket as a light as it is very light, but I haven't had it long enough to know just how long it holds a charge while dormant. It took a little less than 3 hours to initially charge up the light using the USB cable and my computer, the light on the back turns from red to green when charged..

This is a great little device. It is easy to use and helps me take clearer, more natural pictures. I bought this planning to attach it to my iPhone 6 via the headphone jack. It turns out that the clip works perfectly with the iBlason Halo case that I have on my phone. I feel like I really lucked out because I prefer to attach it this way. It's not in the way, it's not heavy or bulky. I love it. The light is very bright so it's probably not good for close-ups. It also can cause a glare or add a bluish hue to some shots, but overall it makes my pictures better.

Bought this to tape a video submission for a job I wanted. It gets REALLY bright which is awesome but I'm not sure if it was my phone or what but it was crooked in my phone. It seemed like it was loose so the piece that attaches the light to be place in my phone was constantly moving. Other than that it was a nice bright light

I wanted to use it as a light for an iPad photo booth, the light was perfect when it was turned on but the battery died hours before the event ended. It was difficult for people to figure out how to turn it on or off. I wish i could charge it with the iPad.

This product is overrated. The main problem is that it's so bright that it overexposes the picture. I guess if you're using it in low-light situations, it's better than nothing. It's probably also great if you can position it farther back so that it's actually a foot or so behind the camera aperture. It's probably also great if you're taking pictures of objects which are several feet away. But I take a lot of close-up photos, and when I stuck this thing on my iPhone, just about every picture was severely washed out.
The other thing you have to know is that this is not a camera flash. It has an on/off button, and once you turn it on, it stays on continually until you turn it off. None of this can be done through your smartphone's Bluetooth.
If the company had 2 or 3 different brightness settings, this device would be much better.

Very powerful little light. Great for beginner to enthusiast photography using cell phone with high quality glass. Pictures turn out near professional quality when used correctly.

Simple yet powerful light, love it. Takes up very little space, powered through its own battery that charges via micro usb. You do not need to attach it to the earphone jack for it to work. Great for low light settings or filming it pitch black. Works as a flash light if you need one better than the one your phone provides.

This a great product but it should be able to be plugged in and just work! I hate that it needs to be charged in order to work. It takes extra time and effort and there are other products on the market that do that for the same price. The company needs to evaluate how their product works and how the customer uses it.
