Should be simple but it's not

This looked like it would be easy to use. Let me break down my issues with it:
1. No on/off switch, so you have to remove the batteries when you are not using it.
2. Battery cover is HARD to get open.
3. Both terminals in the battery case look the same, the diagram inside the case is so faint I couldn't tell which end the negative and positive sides were. (Before you call me crazy both slots looked the exact same unlike 99% of other battery slots).
4. Put batteries in wrong
5. Taking the cover off after the batteries were in was even harder.
6. Got them in right and instant stink from the machine.. Bonus I can tell it's working... Bigger bonus the smell did not stick around for long but it was a moment of me thinking it was going straight to the trash.
7. Ready for use... No instructions mind you... clamp down and slide it across the plastic bag, burned a hole where I originally clamped down. The area I slid it along did not seal.
8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 tried again and again and again, finally got it to seal a plastic bag almost all the way from one edge to the other but not really all the way which leaves me to say this product was not worth the cheap price.
I need something that will give me a seal all the way across with less hassle. It might work for you and your needs, it just didn't work for mine.

Finally a hot cup of tea to the very end

Love this Bravo mug warmer and wish I'd bought it years ago. I drink a large 14 oz cup of tea and always by the time I get half way finished the tea is warm not hot, which adversely impacts taste of the tea. The warmer comes with a rubberized cup cover which helps insure hotter tea. Now even after 45 minutes the tea is as hot as when originally brewed. There are no temp controls, just and on/off switch, but it turns out this is not a problem. The unit cycles on and off so the liquid doesn't get too hot which is a great feature I think.

The heating plate is very large and I can't imagine a cup too large for it. My cup measures 3 1/2" at base and I have 3/4" to spare - the plate is just shy of 4' diameter. But since the plate is flush with the surrounding base, a larger cup would still fit and heat but not as efficiently. And the big plus is the underside of the device does not get hot (must be well insulated inside) so no problem sitting directly on wooden desk like I have. It's black ceramic except for the aluminum colored heating plate and is very attractive. Also it has a great safety feature where it shuts off after three hours, in case you forget to switch it off, which I hope I never do. I like turning stuff OFF. Overall, a great product and I highly recommend.

Quite Good, Yet Room For Improvement

I'll admit that this is the best coffee warmer I've had on my desk. The other 3 died between 1 to 3 years but they were bothersome little things that barely did the job so I don't miss them in the slightest. The Bravo Line warmer's major benefit is that it has more power, so if I set a full cup on its nice, flat surface then the liquid's temperature doesn't decline as far before it reaches an equilibrium with the warmer, after which it begins to increase the temperature ever faster as you continue to consume the contents.
The size is larger than the others at 6" diameter and 1-1/4" high, plus I placed a 1/2-inch thick stone coaster underneath it because the unit heated up my desktop more than I'd like. The warmer has a rudimentary thermostat built in and you can't miss hearing it click from on to off. At first, this noise pollution was a little bothersome but I'm a bit less irritated by it after 3 weeks in service.
WHAT I'D LIKE TO SEE AND WOULD PAY UP: 1) An advanced thermostat system. I have no idea how this could be done but I'll be an early adopter when it happens. Hopefully, the content's temperature would be kept steadier, and user-setting of the temp In degrees would be a big plus. 2) Yet more power. The Bravo can't hold a cuppa at my starting temp of an already-coolish 150 degrees. It catches up as the temp cools down and as the volume is reduced by drinking. Then it actually overheats the contents a little bit before I switch it off while the last 2 or 3 sips are still in the cup.

My husband has trouble swallowing cold liquids so he has been drinking hot liquids for a couple of months. He has to keep heating them up as they cool down quickly in the cup. So I bought a mug warmer for him and it has made him so happy. We tested the temperature as the coffee stood on the mug warmer and in a cup on the counter using a digital thermometer. (We are all about science here. ;-)). The cup on the warmer kept the temp up while the control mug temp went down quickly. The thing is that this, and I suspect most warmers, only works with a flat bottomed cup. Most cups have a cute little foot on the bottom. We had just one so I looked for another online.
