Made my first diy allergy free (for us) laundry detergent, and it was very Awesome!!

Mixed 1 cup of this with 1 cup of borax, and a cup of freshly grated home made soap :) orange and lemon essential oil soap!

Only took 3tbs (overkill really) of this stuff on a large load of Towels, many of which had aquired that "gross towel" smell...they came out Smelling like an oranges and lemons!

Bleneded it up in the ninja, and it is exaxtly the same as store bought powder detergent, except that it smells like aromatherapy citrus, instead of comforting chemical scent #283838929202 haha but seriously, what does snuggle smell like? $5 says majority thinks to themselves "good" ;)

I found this little gem a very long time ago, way back when I had to fight stains from formula, spit out sweet potatoes, peas and anything else that my babies wouldn’t eat. It saved many clothing items, theirs and mine! If it doesn’t completely remove it the first time, I would always soak the items and they would come out looking nice as new.
It was difficult to find on here for awhile, so sadly I moved on and my kids grew up for the most part but stains still come around from time to time and I’ve missed having this item.
Even sadder is that the price is now nearly five times what a box was costing me just a couple years ago. Maybe something comparable will surface that regular customers will be able to afford again, I hope so because I really love this brand. It’s great to brighten up your laundry.

I’m happy to say that I’m now able to find this wonderful item on here again at a reasonable price!! So excited to see this again although a family member had just purchased a couple of boxes for this price for me at a local Target store for $ 5 a box so I jumped on here and hey, I found they are selling 20 Mule Team Borax 4 boxes for $20 !!!

What did I do before I had this?!? Found borax online as a solution for removing mildew smells from wet clothes left in a washer too long. I had tried everything - soaking, bleaching, vinegar - but this is the only thing that worked. Also, adding it to a load of wash with detergent makes everything come out cleaner. Note: I remember ads for this from my childhood. It was a cleaning staple, but became hard to find in stores a few years ago because someone reportedly made it part of a dangerous recipe for homemade molding clay. You can still get it online.

In short, we have ants. Black ones, red ones, and the new combo of red and black ones. There are mounds all over the place outside, and in our garden. Borax works great as an ant queen "dispatcher." Just mix borax with sugar for the black ones (they eat sugar), and borax with peanut butter for the red ones (they hunt protein), then make a paste with an added drop of water, then spread or sprinkle it around their ant mound, or in their path. In a few days, drunk demoralized ants, and soon, the hill will collapse into flat earth (not the planet, just the ground). Voila! Ant-less (perhaps they moved away). Thanks to Borax! Yeah!

This is currently my leading laundry detergent "booster" which I add to diluted organic, vegan castille soap. Bleach KILLS alright...as chlorine is toxic. Please don't ever use bleach if you have children. Hydrogen peroxide only (although it does not work well in my opinion). Baking soda is a joke for getting out stains. This good product has long been a standby for helping keep clothing really clean in any kind of water removing any kind of difficult soil. The problem is it is not always easily found in local markets, such as small town grocery stores. When added to laundry wash water, it not only removes difficult soil, but often more difficult body soil and odor. Some people just naturally have a stronger aura than others, and it is often very difficult for common soaps and detergents to clean it completely. Even borax may not be a complete solution, but it does enable all varieties of water to clean deeper into fibers.

Laundry is not the only task that is aided by using this natural product. Each large box of this stuff lists eleven other categories of uses for it, from delicate lingerie, to garbage pails, and other cleaning chores. One cannot go wrong with this product, and it is safe for plumbing and septic systems.

Actually, I am using this product for something not so common, flea control. I was told by a company, a long-standing Pest Control Co. that this product was the best thing to control the fleas myself. The reason that I chose this was because it was much more affordable and does the trick. I am on a fixed income . You sprinkle it on the carpet to the edges of the room and leave it there for a short time. No worries because It does not hurt animals or people! Then vacuum it up and then again in seven to ten days in case there any unhatched fleas. Sounds strange I know but it works so well. Do your homework as I did before using it, but, trust me, you won't be sorry and neither will your checkbook, lol!!
