White threads are easily broken to reveal the different material underneath. I don't think this will last very long with my miniature pincher. She's only had it for a few hours and there are many broken threads.

Very disappointing toy. The rope material is NOT cotton and my 28 pound dog chewed thru the outer layer into an inner layer that smelled of mold! I wish there would have been some discription of size...it is large!

My 12-yr old boxer dog destroyed this toy in less than two hours. It seemed sturdy enough when it arrived, but alas, it could not stand up to an avid chewer (and he is old and has had some teeth removed.) I would pass this one up.

My dog likes to swing her head when playing, and this thing whacks her in the head. Sure, we play tug with it, but when she wins it, she goes off and tries to "kill" it. Needless to say she doesn't play with this anymore. My other dog (bigger) tried chewing on the ball portion, and I can see that it's this color because it was bleached. It's black/grayish underneath that "natural" color. Maybe I didn't read the description well, or maybe that's common for rope toys, but I don't like the idea of my dogs chewing on something bleached.

What a waste of a money and what a huge mess to clean up! Our 7-month-old puppy destroyed this in less than an hour. It is NOT "natural" color - it has been dyed medium brown and is much darker than pictured. Know what happens when dye meets dog saliva? Yup - staining! And this isn't a rope knot, it is a ball of loose black strings covered with rope. You can only imagine what a mess it was when the pup hit the center.

I realize that toys like this are supposed to be used for "supervised" play but what's the point in having what is supposed to be a tough rope toy if a puppy can rip it to shreds in minutes? I wouldn't buy this or anything else from this company again.

The first time that I gave this toy to my dog, a few hours later he vomited and began having diarrhea, which lasted for 2-3 days. I took it away from him. Not knowing for sure if it was the toy or his usual delicate system, I gave it back to him to make sure. And sure enough, he didn't vomit or get the runs, but became listless. Underneath the cording on the loop on top of the toy there is a black substance that I was suspicious of. I threw away this toy and will try to buy toys not made in China from now on.

Destroyed in less than 5 minutes. My golden doodle destroyed this in less than 5 minutes. I am not usually to critical of products and certainly if my dog destroyed a toy after a week or two I would understand. But this toy is just not constructed well. Many of our tuff toys have lasted for months but this rope you did not last 5 minutes. Do not waste your money.

We have three adolescent Gordon Setters who can destroy most toys in minutes. I have to say the rope has lasted quite a long time, handles being tugged in 3 different directions without breaking. The boys have eventually started to pull the threads out of the rope handle but the ball is still good. All considering I am very pleased. There is no true indestructible toy and obviously play needs to be supervised, but given my tough pack, I would recommend it!
