TERROR and HORROR...This film is about the people who were staying at MUMBAIS two famouse 5 star hotels, when terrorists barged in and took over. These survivors tell their shocking stories. The ordeal that they all went through, their 60 hours of hell inside the hotels as they all tried to hide from the terrorists. And as they told it, you felt you were reliving it with them. One husband and wife had to watch, while other people around them were shot dead, and the reason why this couple survived was because the husband new a few lines of the Koran. Throughout most of this documentary it concentrates on the people who escaped the hell hole they were in, and lived to tell their stories to us. The interviews were done inside. But i would have liked to have seen some footage of what was going on around the streets at that time as well. As these whole episodes must have effected everyone in the city of MUMBAI. I Wonderd what was happening directly outside the front of these hotels at the time. As there must have been large gatherings of people. And i also would have liked to have seen how the police were controling this dreadful situation. There were all the reporters, and the television camera crews out there, but we wernt shown them. Most of all, i wish i could have seen alot more of that beautiful large indian style hotel on the waterfront in Mumbai. It was one of the two hotels that were involved in the terrorist attacks. But the camera only gave us a fleeting glance at it. I know it was set on fire, only a small portion of it was ablaze. What a beautiful Magnifcent Building it is. I hope nothing so evil and so shocking as this, will ever happen again.

This well-edited and narrated documentary, is a compilation of film cuts from security cameras, international media, police footage, and recordings of terror masters. On November 26, 2008, fabled city of Bombay, India, now known as <umbai and a modern metropolitan hub of world trade and tourism, was the scene of a blood bath unparalled by the most imaginative horror film script. At dusk, a river barge landed at an obscure Mumbai dock, disgorging several dozen young boys, in their mid teens, each neatly dressed, with matching backpacks, explaining to a port guard that they were a group of students on a vacation trip, and were going to register at an exclusive luxury hotel in Mumbai. They proceeded to the hotel, then spread out to the cove the ornate Victorian towers, teakwood and mahogany hallways, on multiple levels. At a pre-arranged cell-phoned signals to their earpieces, the young "students", dutifully unpacked their back packs, producing firebombs, compact automatic rifles and hand grenades. The next signal, and a continuous series of directions to follow through the next two days, directed them from one area and room to the next, kicking in doors and machine-gunning the occupants, quietly reporting back in response to their terror masters the status of their acts. "How many did you kill in that room?" "Three, except for two children." "Kill the children." {Sound of gunfire) "Are they dead?" "Yes" "Go on to the other rooms. Remember that you must not survive. You must die to finish this mission!" "I understand." This was a snippet of the kind of conversation over cell phones that continued through a night of slaughter amid black smoke and flames that lit the night from firebombs placed in the high towers and corner apartments of the hotel.Read more ›

This savage and premeditated attack was unique in its planning and brutality, and when I went looking for resources on the event I found virtually nothing. This documentary by PBS is fact-based, and heavily relies upon real time film footage to tell the story. For this reason the film is necessarily tough to watch in places, and definitely not something I would recommend for the young or the squeamish. However, if you want to know (and see) the manifest face of horror and terror in our age, this PBS film is a compelling must-see. I cannot imagine how this event could have been documented better than has been done here.

Very well thought out documentary. I have read/watched everything about 26/11 that I can get my hands on. This flowed nicely and the survivor's stories were a nice addition.
