If you're a Muppet fan and enjoy Christmas then this cd is for you. If you don't know the Muppets by hearing them you may find this album a bit silly. It's well produced and a good mix of old and new songs. I've been listening to the John Denver Muppets Christmas since it was first was released decades ago and it has become a part of my families' Christmas tradition. My children have grown up with it and this Green and Red will fit right in.

Great festive music for parties and driving to look at the lights. Not so good for reading a good book next to the fire. Throwing a Andrea Bocelli song at the end was cute addition.

I read some average reviews of this cd and saw where a few people seem disappointed in how the voices sound. I loved it! I think each character sounds like they usually do in the movies. The songs were unique in style and the words were cute. If you are a muppet fan and love the movies, then you will probably enjoy this collection of Christmas tunes from our Muppet friends.

Muppet Holiday Greatness Missing Henson

Let me start by saying that this CD is great. The music is decently crafted, well presented and, in some parts, quite funny.
Sadly, some of the beloved Muppets do not sound like themselves, which causes confusion at times as to who is supposed to be singing. Puppetry is inherently visual, and without images to go along with the songs, it was difficult to imagine some lines being sung by a specific Muppet. Specifically, Rowlf the dog and Dr. Teeth (of the Electric Mayhem) sound like impersonations of Jim Henson's loveable characters and not the characters themselves. Though, it is great to see Disney's version of the Muppets embracing classic characters such as Rowlf and Teeth by giving them each time on this album (I hope this continues).
However, moving past necessary voice-actor changes for characters, the album itself is quite enjoyable. "Red and Green Christmas" with Piggy and Kermit, though simple, may be one of the cutest new Christmas songs I know.
Zat You Sanni Claus? by the Electric Mayhem is memorable and really likeable, as well. And, even though the entire project is post-Henson Muppets, it fits quite well with the canon of Muppet Holiday albums (Denver and Muppets Christmas, Rocky Mountain Holiday, etc).
If you enjoy good Christmas music and the innocent silliness of early Muppets, you will enjoy this CD.

The muppets were a big deal when I was a kid. A couple of years ago, while looking for the Muppet Christmas album I grew up with, I came across this - "The new one" we call it.

With Pepe the Prawn's "Merry Christmas Baby" and Dr. Teeth's "Zat You, Santa Claws" (sic) we now have multiple muppet Christmas albums to remind us of our warm, happy and silly family gatherings.

It's the Muppet Christmas Carol music. What more can I say? It's fabulous if you love the movie. Personally I can't stop singing the songs and have also started humming them again even though I'm writing this in March.. "there goes Mr Humbug, there goes Mr Grim..."
