Review

You kept me interested right until the end. Great characters, a surprising plot, even better twists and the way the story weaves everywhere. It shocked me right out of my seat at times. I couldn't second guess you and some of the moments had me smiling, some squirming and some crying a quiet tear. Kudos. -- Pat Smith, Beta Reader

This book reminds me of the good days of writers like Harold Robbins and Jackie Collins.  Plenty of things to enjoy, a good storyline, lots of glamour, great sex scenes  (I held my breath for some).  A true beach bonkbuster that will have you panting for more.  A perfect and intelligent read! - Christine Knights, Author.
____
An intricate and interesting twisting Plot full of turns and surprises with rich characters that held me captive until I finished the book.  The book takes you from the start right through to a climactic ending. Please tell me you will write a sequel!   I want to keep reading about them.  Breathtaking. - Michaela B Martin, Author

From the Author

This book contains graphic and some harrowing sex scenes, as well as taboo content. It is therefore suitable only for (broadminded) 18+ Adults

This is a sexy read, and also covers some difficult taboo subjects with delicacy and honesty.  If you like to read a book with your heart racing, that gets you jumping out of the chair in shock, that makes you laugh, squirm with discomfort, and cry, then this is the read for you.
It is an intelligent, fast paced, book that draws you in, and doesn't let you go until you sit panting, and can't remember what day it is.  It makes a super beach bonk buster, with a cover that people won't realize, hides a real raunchy adventure.
It was going to be a one off, but so far all the reviewers have asked, (no, demanded) a prequel AND a sequel and so I am is busy writing those currently. There will be two more standalone books that can be read as a saga, or as one offs coming in 2014/2015.
This first book took me five years to write, evenings and weekends, fitting in the times around bringing up my children.  The amount of research that was needed, to all the areas covered in the book, was phenomenal, and a lot of those years were spent speaking to victims of abuse, personally. I wanted the disturbing scenes in the book to be as realistic as possible.

A special thanks goes to them for sharing their difficult life stories and very personal experiences with me. I hope I have done them proud.

2 ☆☆ Hooked Stars

This only gets 2 Stars because the writing is flawless. Other than that this book is absolutely appalling. I'm sorry to Vevica Benoir, but To Murder Matt is honestly torture porn... what this vile disgusting excuse for a man does to these people, it's no wonder 4 people are plotting his death. I won't go any further, but honestly unless you enjoy straight rape and even worse (yes worse) than read this. I put it down too many times to count. It's impossibly difficult to stomach... this is just... unfinishable...

Four different lives completely screwed by one man. Matt is a grade A a$$hole with some sick, twisted desires. There's some difficult to read taboo scenes, so be prepared for that.

All four 'victims' have motive and the book tells the story starting with how Matt first met each person and then continuing on to describe each act of betrayal. All four lives become intertwined through Matt and, as the title implies, the true mystery is who actually is responsible for his death.

There were a few times the names were switched around (i.e. Dean calling her Veronique when he only knew her as Priscilla), and there were some timeline problems (Matt asking why he hadn't mentioned something in the office a few days ago when really it was that morning) There were also some things that I felt weren't explained. There's a part where Ellen is hearing things (maybe), but we never hear any more about it. This, along with a slow pace, at times, was distracting enough for me to drop a couple stars.

I read To Murder Matt after Matt -The Beginning. I am extremely glad I decided to read the books in this order, and did so on the advice of a friend. It made following the story so much easier for me. On that note, phewwwww, what a read!!!! This is an extremely intense, and at some times, disturrbing and graphic read. At about 83%, I had to put the book down and stop for a few minutes to catch my breath, but then I came back as I was anxious to finish this book! I think you could have made me #5 and added me to the list of people who now wanted to kill Matt. Matt went from a beloved champion race car drive and international playboy to the DEVIL! It's official I HATE him!!!! Ellen. Dean. Veronique. Nico. Four people want Matt dead and they all have different reasons. Who killed Matt? Viveca did it again with her extraordinary writing and intricate story telling. My husband had to pick my jaw up from the floor. Five stars!!!!! I am hooked, line, and sinker for your books!!!!

To Murder Matt was a very interesting read. In the beginning of the story, we find out Matt has been in an accident. Four people are at the hospital for me. Dean, Ellen, Nico, and Veronique all are connected to Matt in some way. Michel Le Sime is the French detective investigating the case. When he speaks in the book his words are written with an accent. It was a little hard to read his speaking parts but it also made it true to his character. He believes one of the four tried to kill Matt.

I was trying to guess who tried to kill Matt. At first, I thought wow this is kind of sad that they all want Matt dead. That thought didn't last long. We go back to the beginning of all their stories. As the story unfolds we find out how everyone know Matt. Matt is not a nice guy. He is a very bad person. There was a few scene with him and Veronique that are just awful, they made me want to stop reading but then I want to keep reading to see if he dies and who killed him.

To Murder Matt is a dark suspenseful story. It has some sexual abuse and violence. Some of the scenes are tough to read but the story as a whole is well worth reading.

This is definitely not a book for the faint of heart. It covers topics such as rape, murder, incest and abuse in a serious, not sensationalist way. The author being an educator and sensitive also contains contact numbers within her book for anyone affected by such matters.

This book starts at a hospital with Matt in critical condition and leads us from the past up to this current point via interweaving the lives of Ellen, Dean, Veronique and Nico via their pov, all who are connected via the charismatic Matt, ex racing driver and currently wealthy playboy. This cunning, handsome and successful man is the devil in disguise whom you learn more about throughout the book. The two women in this book showed such strength and fortitude I was in awe of them and thought their tragedies were handled well.

This is a darkly disturbing read, but also shows what truly happens in reality when obsession overwhelms a person, their drive knows no limits or boundaries and that looks can truly be deceiving. The ending was fitting and left you with a little bit of uncertainty, thinking can all events ever be fully forgotten?

I'm so glad that I read the second book "Matt - The Beginning" first as it really gave you the back story of each of the characters as well as provided insight as to why everyone wanted to murder Matt in this book. This book was nuts, but in a good way. It was a dark and twisted story and I don't think I've ever read a book with a more narcissist person as Matt. I found myself also wanting to murder the bastard and I especially loved the ending when Matt got what he deserved. Great book!
