I found this book insightful and fascinating concerning the use, manufacturing and distribution of meth in Arkansas. Of course, living in Arkansas this book enlighted me to the wide apread use and devasting effects of drugs on the families and communities in this area. It was well written, precise and true to the locale. It showed the love of a family and what they went through in the trials of meth. It is a book every one could relate to. Very well written. I could not put it down once I started it.

Fascinating insight into the demanding job of nurse practioners in a prison setting, and the running of rural meth labs in the context of a suspensful mystery. Hope a sequel is in the works.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I was especially intrigued by how the author portrayed the southern flavor of her characters. Although I had expected to read about typical southern hicks, I was pleasantly surprised at how she made the characters believable without going overboard. Using a nurse as the central character was just the right touch and I am looking forward to the future adventures of Carol.
