This cozy mystery was a real delight to read. I was left guessing throughout the novel as to which person was really the murderer. Laura Jensen Walker has a unique style of writing and it was fun reading a book written in first person, which is much harder to write than one would think. Her protagonist was a very lovable character, as well as a strong woman, who had overcome breast cancer. I highly recommend this mystery for anyone who enjoys a good who done it. I hope there will be sequels!

What a great book. It has believable characters, including a sarcastic and funny protagonist who's mouth sometimes gets her into trouble. The story line was easy to follow with plenty of suspects and a satisfying reveal. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

Murder Most Sweet is a sweetly delicious and funny murder mystery. Laura Jensen Walker's debut cozy mystery is hopefully the first of many Bookish Baker Mysteries. Teddie is great. As a fellow Anglophile and breast cancer survivor, I love Tavish's "Colin Firth"ness and Teddie's enthusiasm for living post-cancer. I enjoy Laura's writing voice. I think Teddie expresses Laura's approach to writing mysteries well: "I have a blast writing them and my readers love them...my books provide a delightful escape from the hard things in life."

"Murder Most Sweet" is the perfect blend of mystery, humor and feminism. From the moment the book begins ("I miss my breasts.") to the end (several baked goods recipes), the book is a delicious delight. Laura Jensen Walker's colorful and engaging writing will capture your imagination and make you hungry for more. Looking forward to her next book!

Laura Jensen Walker's debut cozy mystery is delightfully fun and funny. Her heroine Teddie St. John is a breast cancer survivor and baker extraordinaire who sets out to solve a murder mystery after becoming a suspect! Lots of delicious twists along the way leave you guessing to the end, with some romance thrown in (how can you not fall for an author named Tavish Bentley) and some yummy recipes. As a second generation Dane, I can't wait to bake the Danish Layer Cake. How long do I have to wait for book 2?

Read this book during Wisconsin winter and a blizzard. I was warmed by recognition of Wisconsin sights, tastes, locale and delightful characters. The plot was a " doozy".
