…but her best friend is accused of murder.
Can Summer use her psychic gift to save her friend in time?
For a sweet little Southern town, Wonder Springs has seen more than its fair share of murders. But when the local vineyard suffers a bewildering theft, the outcomes turn outright bizarre.
And when events twist to a dead body, the whole town suspects the unthinkable. Could the killer really be Summer's bestie (and cousin)… Tina?
Tina's an empath, and she's the warmest, most loving person that Summer's ever known. But she and the victim may have shared a deadly secret.
Meanwhile, hidden enemies are closing in on Wonder Springs. Summer's whole family has secret psychic powers, but one branch of the family is exceedingly vicious…

Bill Alive lives in lush rural Virginia, where he eats and breathes regularly.
Back in the day, stories saved his life. Maybe you feel the same.
Bill has played Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, ridden the boat metro in Venice (it's awesome), been homeless in NYC (briefly), and planted fruit trees in his backyard. A few trees even survived.
These days, he shares his home with a kind, beautiful woman who is, apparently, his wife. Together, they have generated multiple entirely new people. It's really quite startling.
Bill Alive loves writing across genres. He writes hilarious cozy mysteries with heart as "B.T. Alive", and fun other genres under creative other names, like... "Bill Alive".
What about you? You haven't said much, but you seem like the kind of reader who'd LOVE a free fun story.

Dante, it turns out, is a telempath. He has the ability to direct how others feel, which is why his exes despise him at a distance, but melt into gooey sentiment in his presence. It’s a power he uses to his advantage against others, particularly women … which is why, on the morning of the wedding, there are countless suspects when the vineyard wedding venue on Haven Island is found butchered. Every single grape has been sliced off the vine with devastating accuracy. All his exes are in town, but Tina is the only one who’s gone missing, and Grandma Meredith has had a disturbing dream about death.
It’s certainly not a good time for Summer to discover that Cade isn’t an only child … his sister, Fiona, an ex in town for the wedding, launches her first emotional assault on Summer while towel-drying her hair. Compounding the frustrations Cade and Summer have battled trying to connect and control her Disruptor abilities and his Tuner powers, Fiona expertly wages full-out psychic war on her brother’s girlfriend, using Summer as a punching bag for her own tortured spirit.
It’s hard to believe one man could so badly disrupt bucolic Wonder Springs, where not a chain store lurks and happiness is the natural order. But as Uncle Barnaby rages, Dante is the kind of man who packs his mayhem in a travel bag. “Has the possibility truly not penetrated your narcissistic mind that the avenger who savaged your vineyard may not yet be sated? That you yourself may yet be in danger?”
Unsurprisingly, his question is astonishingly on point, because just a few hours later, Dante turns up dead.
Tension in town ramps up into frenzy as a storm approaches, the river rises and Sheriff Jake worries not only about his son’s physical welfare, but his shifter daughter’s endless paroxysms of fury. And Summer wonders just why vacuous Elaine, in her expensive mismatched outfits and tuned-out mindset, shadows her every step, making even more of a nuisance of herself than usual.
What she, and all the residents of Wonder Springs, are about to realize is that the stakes are higher than ever before, and monumental trouble has just started brewing.
I am enjoying this series very much. Likeable characters, interesting plots, well-described settings, and plausible paranormal – all things that drew me in to the first book and that keep me coming back for more. I have enjoyed watching Summer grow into her powers, and grow as a person. And I’m still liking how she breaks the fourth wall to talk to the reader. And I have to give extra points to the author for using the word “cracquelure” to describe one of the characters who was portraying herself as being much younger than she actually was.
The author has a flair for describing people and situations. “She dropped her voice still further, forcing Tina and I to lean in so close I could smell the tang of her breath mint, a thin veil over the moist, hot, compost effluence that rose from the depths of her mouth.” I could smell that from where I sat. And, “It had the same gloomy fixtures, the same nondescript carpet, the same indefinable air of an empty hotel lobby where only the dead would ever check in.” I also like the sly references to the author’s other series, The Empath Detective (which, btw, is an entertaining series as well). I will definitely read more in this series.
I received a free copy of the book from the author, but absent that, I would have purchased this, as I liked the previous books in this series, and I like the author’s other work.
Not surprisingly, things get out of hand. An entire vineyard is destroyed in a single night. Two people are murdered. Of course Summer and Tina (but mostly Summer) are on the case, to Sheriff Jake's dismay. Summer doesn't realize, as she stumbles around questioning everyone until, time and again, we are sure she has figured out the killer, that there is a deeper evil behind things. Even with all the complexity and confusion, Summer does manage to survive this latest investigation. That is a good thing, for by the end of the book, an even larger crisis awaits.
I received this book at no cost in return for an honest review. Filled with action, twists and philosophical centralities, "Murder With a Psychic Kiss" will keep your mind engaged until the very end! Sometimes a bit too complex for my old mind, but those who still have all of their marbles will have a five star blast!
