Murder - On Salt Spring? Paperback – April 10, 2013
From the Author
Born and raised on Salt Spring Island, it proved logical and enjoyable to base this story on the island life I knew in the 1940's and '50's. The island teemed with characters and many of their characteristics appear in the book. In fact, old time residents will recognize similarities to people they knew. My first novel started and ended on the island also, however, I avoided redundancy so it isn't simply more of the same. There was significant logging in 1952 and as a result, vigorous beer parlour activity which is not exaggerated in the book.
About the Author
Born in 1938 and raised in B.C., Canada, I obtained an engineering degree two years after the Avro Arrow cancellation decimated Canada's aviation industry. That led me to emigrate to the States and work 35 years for The Boeing Company, rising to Chief Engineer, Avionics and Flight Systems. After retirement, I first turned my creative juices to developing software for financial planners, in part to keep track of my modest nest egg. In 2009, I succumbed to a long-standing urge to write a novel which was first published under the title "Delbert Pillage" and now as "Two Loves Lost". Three novels have now been published.
