Intense smell but works so well!

Intense smell but works so well!
It’s a very intense smell so be prepared. I purchased the spray to use on our screens to prevent bugs when we have the windows open. It’s working so well! I’ve also purchased the balm to use for myself and kids which I prefer for personal use. They both smell the same. I just felt the spray left me more greasy feeling than the balm. I used very little of both and they’ve worked amazingly! I would completely recommend their products. I’ve got psoriasis and very sensitive skin and I didn’t have any adverse effects at all. There was zero skin irritation. I don’t know if the oil dries or stays greasy on the skin. The balm didn’t stay greasy at all which I appreciated. The only downfall I felt about the oil was the spray was quite minimal, like one spray was about a quarter of what you’d get out of any other little spray bottles (it’s the type of top on the bottle). But I think it’ll last us for multiple seasons which is amazing for the price!

I won’t use chemical insecticide especially on me or clothing. But I was skeptical about how effective this could be. It was 100% effective on first try… a hike on which I previously was eaten alive. This time no bugs. They didn’t even come near me. Smell is noticeable up close even an hour later, but not unpleasant. Citrus and eucalyptus as one would expect. Very mildly oily but if rubbed in it mostly dissipates shortly. Used lightly on both clothing and skin it was still working 90 minutes later. Started to wear off a bit after that. Could not have been happier with it.

Update- have used for a few weeks now and mosquitoes have not been a problem for at least 60 to 90 minutes after applying even if only applied to outerwear.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
- Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus (30%)

INERT INGREDIENTS:
- Deionized Water, Corn Ethanol (70%)

I was in Florida, on an island where the gnats or whatever you called them come out biting. I sprayed Murphy's Naturals Lemon Eucalyptus Oil Insect Repellent Spray and they didn't come near me. I just wished it didn't smell weird. However you did the job. Thank you.

I am an allergy person with lots of allergies and have to take care more than normal what i use - at that point i did not took care enough for myself. i used it cause i had 2 mosquitos in my bedroom and could not get rid of them for over 8 days so i was thinking okay i take this oils and make it on my skin and thats it.
The Scent is (for me and my dogs) really heavy, my dogs went out of my bedroom cause of that scent and that mean a lot to me and after i had it on my skin it began to itching and burning without ending, so i had to wash it away quickly - my face was red like a tomato after that and it hurted a lot. So i took the bottle and wanted to know whats in side - 30% oils and 70% unknown - so that unknown declaration is chemical i guess - and the scent in my bedroom was so heavy that i sleept on my couch in the livingroom and had to open all the windows over night what is in florida not usual like you can imagine.
so i am not with that product and i took it away, can not send it back. No money back garanty if you are allergic against it. Thats Life....
Be careful about your health and the health of your family - i am not recommend this product - sorry!

I don't mind the smell of eucalyptus and actually prefer it to the citronella smell anyway. Mosquitoes definitely don't like this stuff. I was getting eaten alive every morning when I go check on my tomato plants and yesterday I sprayed this in the area where I was going to walk and then put a spray on my jeans. I actually saw mosquitoes flying away from the mist instead of homing in on my apparently delicious blood.

I love this stuff! Every summer, the relentless Texas mosquitoes infiltrate my house if there's been any rain and I don't shut the door quick enough coming and going outside. I invariably get woken up several times a night by the buzzing and biting. Until I found this spray, that is.

The smell is strong, but not at all unpleasant to me, and I think it's part of what keeps the skeeters at bay. We've had a couple scorching weeks with no rain and I didn't have the mosquito problem until this week, when I overwatered my withering plants in an attempt to have a little water left in the plant dish to create some humidity for them. Of course, the mosquitoes arrived the next night. I forgot to put the spray on that night, since I hadn't been using it for a couple weeks, and woke up to buzzing in my ear and several bites on my exposed arm. I immediately got up and sprayed a tiny squirt on my fingertips to dab on my cheeks, chin and sides of face, very sparingly. I spritzed a few light sprays on my arms also, then straight back to bed and not one more disturbance or bite. Best yet, the bite I'd already gotten was almost completely gone in the morning! This stuff somehow removes the sting AND takes the swelling down. No itching whatsoever in the morning, and I usually itch for days from mosquito bites, which swell up hugely, as well.

It's kind of high priced, but it contains no DEET and works better than anything else I've ever tried. I read the review of the person who said there's bad stuff in it, so I checked out the underlabel to find that it's made to use on skin and clothing, but we should not spray directly on our faces. Duh. Also, we need to keep it out of the reach of kids and pets. It causes "substantial injury" to eyes, so don't get it in them. Oh, we should also not swallow it. Hopefully, this is all no-brainer stuff to anybody with even a couple of brain molecules rolling around. Since it's DEET (poison) free, I do not understand why the customer was alarmed at the ingredients.
