Nice tight fittings. Blade heavily oiled. I wiped the extra oil off the blade with rice paper the used it to cleanly cut a clean piece of paper with no tearing. Razor SHARP!! The genuine ray skin on the handle and the golden dragons are beautiful. This sword is beautiful and deadly. Built to last full tang and differentially hardened. I have seen some Musashi swords on amazon for $1700! I can't imagine what could be made better? I'm no sword expert so I'll just marvel at my $100 sword and be happy. Buy this sword and you won't regret it!
It arrives beautifully packaged, sharp, oiled, and completely clean. There's no rattling or loose parts, it doesn't feel cheap or poorly put together. The weight feels perfect too.
Make sure to buy the suggested sword cleaning kit along with it. You'll need it to clean off the initial oiling it comes packaged with and apply a new, much lighter application of oil. This is 100% worth the buy, just like the rest of the reviews suggest. For your first sword, you can't go wrong with this.
