Part of a new 1060 high carbon series from Musashi. With the result being well within that goal, this blade is nothing short of an excellent value. This was the first Musashi sword I got, however, that the blade was wrapped in a plastic wrapping, making it a bit difficult to pull the sword out for the first time when I got it. At first I thought I had bought a broken sword, but once I had my boy friend help me pull the blade out (it required both of us in tug of war style pulling, dangerous and I definitely will think twice about doing that again) removed the plastic wrapping around the blade, it was fine. Over all I am very happy adding this to my collection.
As it stands the sword currently has 4 stars, I have yet to test the craftsmanship physically and I will update this when I do. So far all in all I would say it is a very well crafted blade for 99 dollars, that's pretty cheap for a battle grade katana and if you want something that is really impressive but still cheap you would be looking for 200-300. good katanas are not cheap and they go as high as 5000 for the not insanely priced ridiculously nice katanas, so just keep that in mind if you buy it. If you were buying a katana to save your life in battle you would not be buying a 100 dollar sword.
