Editorial Reviews

Review

Praise for THE MUSEUM OF SUDDEN DISAPPEARANCES featuring "Jurassic Jim" Fleetwood

"A hugely satisfying tale that is simultaneously funny, suspenseful and subversive...laugh-out-loud dialogue...unadulterated bliss...For fans of comic mysteries, the Jurassic Jim Fleetwood series is a must read." -- Bella Wright, BestThrillers.com

The second book in the series, PAST IS PRESENT, won two 2016 Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Judges' Choice Awards for Comedy Thriller and Time Travel.

A few nods and winks for Thomas Davidson

"Voluptuous precision." -- Teresa Carpenter, Pulitzer Prize-winning crime reporter. Thomas Davidson's work has appeared in The Boston Phoenix, and is excerpted in Carpenter's bestseller, MISSING BEAUTY

"Tom Davidson always makes me laugh. Always. Tom is one of those people who not only sees the world with his own particular skew, he helps readers see it that way, too. Check out his stories and find out why Tom Davidson is one of the best humor authors on this tilted planet." -- Karen Dionne, author, THE MARSH KING'S DAUGHTER

"I run All Things Crime Blog and I post pieces by the inimitable Thomas Davidson every time I can convince him to send one my way. Thomas' rapier-like wit never disappoints. Sometimes he's making you laugh out loud; at other times, he catches you up short and you find yourself pondering the ways and means of this peculiar world, which after all is every writer's goal. I strongly suggest that you treat yourself to...Mr. Davidson's rare and illuminating wit. I am certain that you too will join Thomas' rapidly growing crew of admirers." -- Patrick Moore, All Things Crime Blog, author, CICERO'S DEAD

From the Author

CAUTION: My two "Jurassic Jim" Fleetwood thrillers occasionally contain strong language, some violence, unusual earthlings, and an avalanche of raucous humor. Just like real life when you step outside. If you enjoy taking a periodic stroll on the strange side of the street, you've hit the jackpot. Includes survival tips for that part of the street.

The first in the series is THE MUSEUM OF SUDDEN DISAPPEARANCES, followed by PAST IS PRESENT, a 2016 Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award winner.

Who is "Jurassic Jim" Fleetwood? Well, he resembles legendary, long-haired lawman and gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok (1837-1876), sans badge and gun. Jim is so unhip, he's hip. He's so out-of-it, he's right back in again. Jim is a deejay and host of the U-turn Time Machine Show. He describes his job this way: "I'm the embattled deejay at the Swizzle Stick Bar. Four nights a week I play popular music, which spans decades, to people who can't recall last week. I also host song-and-dance contests for tone-deaf brutes, and shake the barroom with rock and soul while being ambushed with insane song requests. By night's end, I stagger out of the Swizzle and make a death march to my car."
