Best speed results I could get from this(240GB) drive using CrystalDiskMark:
Seq(read/write): 210 MB/s, 163.5 MB/s
512k(read/write): 107 MB/s, 163.6 MB/s
4k(read/write): 17.62 MB/s, 31 MB/s
4k QD32(read/write): 82.25 MB/s, 120.8 MB/s
While these are indeed nice speeds for a flash drive... It just doesn't live up to the advertised 455 MB/s "ssd like" speeds.
Conclusion: I don't recommend buying if you're looking for a flash drive with ssd speeds. However, if you just want a high capacity flash drive with pretty decent speeds, then perhaps put this in your consideration list! :P
After contacting Mushkin support, I was told they use ATTO to benchmark these drives. I tested my drive with the ATTO benchmark software, and it does clock the drive at doing around 400-440 MB/s read and write speeds. So far, file transfers I've tried max out around 190 MB/s, but perhaps this will vary with your computer setup and drivers!
Although I purchased the drive based on the advertised speed, size and expected durability (with the metal casing), after 1st hand experience, I'd not recommend purchasing this drive. A USB3 SSD in a portable case with a cable (although bulky) would be a much better investment.
