Mandi is an amateur detective similar to Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. This is the second in the Mandi Mystery series. The first was Ghosts of Graceland, set in the Memphis area. Mandi and her reluctant sister encounter a mystery while visiting on an entertainer's estate in the countryside near Nashville. Their dad is in charge of security for an entertainer who's been threatened by an anonymous person. The story has everything a reader could ask for in an entertaining story---conflict, suspense, well-crafted characters.
I should confess that I am not a regular reader of children's/young teen fiction. I would be classified as a senior citizen. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. In fact, I'm going to read the first book in this series, and I'll look forward to other Mandi mysteries.
