Amaya Taneka was a violinist with the London Symphony Orchestra until someone followed her to a BDSM club in Amsterdam and photographed and distributed pictures of her in a scene in the club. She was fired from her job, evicted from her apartment and disowned by her family in Kyoto, Japan. Her world has shattered, and she needs to regroup and come to terms with what she will now do with her life. She books herself into Pleasure Island, but not to play the scene, but to escape from people, from the press, and to just forget all the pain she is experiencing. “If her family, the ones who were supposed to love her without question, couldn’t stomach who she was, she was a fool for even hoping that anyone else would. The unfairness of it all blazed within her soul as her raged seethed.”
Alpha Dom Jax Holiday, bassist for the world famous band The Harbingers, and his partner, Lachlin O’Toole, have just finished a hellish world tour. They have come for a stay at Pleasure Island to play and relax from their grueling schedule. They have been friends since they were eight-years-old, and lovers for years, they keep their personal life as private as possible. Both men are bisexual, partners, lovers, and enjoy topping a sub together.
The plot will bring three people back together that had played together at DFC in Scotland when they were all there for Declan and Zoey’s wedding. They had a connection with her at DFC but are shocked at seeing how broken she is now. Can Lachlin convince Jax that adding Amaya into their relationship is not an either/or situation, but an extension of their dominance and affection? The chemistry sizzled when these three played together, but can they make it work on a more permanent basis?
“Jax looked like the devil-may-care bad boy you always wanted to try for a night, whereas Lachlin was handsome in a timeless way with his square jaw and steadfast gave. He made her weak-kneed every time he directed that intense blue gaze of his her way.”
“Stop trying to top from the bottom, love. It won’t get you anywhere with us. While you are here with us, as our sub, we expect you to have open communication and dialogue with us. We explained we would help you with what you are going through.”
The battle of wills will be played out, the demons that have destroyed Amaya’s world, her career, and caused everyone to disown her will have to be addressed for her to heal and to move on. Can Jax accept Lachlin’s desire to have Amaya become part of their life and not just for a couple of weeks of play? The story has very explicit sex scenes that include M/M, M/F, M/M/F and M/F/M. Two Doms and one sub at play will have these maestros making beautiful music together.
The lead character, a sub and violinist, has lost it all (job, family, everything) and come to the island to hide from life and herself. She runs into two hot, paired doms (literally) that she played with once in Scotland, and things start getting better and hotter, much hotter, very quickly. This is a short but scorching read. Good stuff!
