Problem I experienced is that the instructions do not tell you how to load music on to the unit and it's fairly complicated and in this case did not work. The music directory has one folder in it - ROOT. In order to load your music and play it, it must be in that directory/folder. I couldn't get it in the folder no matter what I did.
I was bummed, because the unit is nice, lots of great and useful functions on it, nice look and feel (not cheap, but economical construction), screen was very nice and video had great clarity - overall - a FANTASTIC price at $19.99 for the orange one (slightly higher cost on the other colors).
For some reason that I don't understand, I was not able to exchange it and could only return it. I was hoping that it was just that unit and was willing to give it another try - but not with the hassel of ordering another one.
Hope your's works without any issues, because the sound I heard was good quality with the right ear buds!
this is an excellent link on how to load an mp3 . i got this at yahoo search. make sure you remember first you pick a site to get music like limewire.com or i use mp3million.com . get your music purchased. make sure it is downloaded to your computer. you should be able to pull up windows music player and play purchased songs. once you decide to load your mp3 player close all programs. plug in mp3 player with usb cord to pc. then go under programs to find window media player. make a sync list. or should be a place to click to load to device. you can tell when the song syncs or loads to the mp3 player. copy and paste the link above and read. good luck
CONS: -very difficult to navagate
-the instructions that came with it was for a differant model
-the controls look like the heat sensitive control like whats on the ipod but its a cheap clicking type
which i could over look but it doesnt work as you would expect even for a click type model instead of the ceter button
being the ether key its the menu button instead
-and finally the biggest con for me had to be it keep freezing my computer every time i tried to take music off device
to send to my desktop
DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE PASS ON THIS MODEL
