The stand feels really durable! It's really heavy, so I like it a lot. It withstood Amazon's poorly packaging. haha
If you want a durable, cheap(price), mic stand. GET THIS!

Not much to say about this standard "old school" mic stand. Durable - you won't believe how heavy this is - and serving its purpose well. The only drawback is there is no room to strum a guitar while singing with it!

I have bought about a dozen mic stands before. All of them were double the price and broke within the first 6 months of use. These mic stands are half the price and more durable. Great product!!!

I've been looking for an inexpensive mic stand and this fit the bill perfectly. It may be inexpensive but it's certainly not cheap - construction is sturdy and it breaks down nicely for travel. The base is heavier than I expected, but not ridiculously so - this was a pleasant surprise, not an unwelcome one.

Although I assume it was probably an oversight on my part, I figure it's worth mentioning, this is the stand only, no clip. Nonetheless, I was very pleased with this purchase.

I bought three of these to use in our home studio. Two of them work great, but one was faulty. The two good ones are of decent quality and do the job they are designed for.

The third one has a defective portion on top where the mic holder screws onto the threaded portion of the stand. This part is not welded, but is "peened" onto the shaft. This was not done correctly during the manufacturing process which results in this part spinning around the interior of the shaft and prevents proper tightening of the mic holder to the stand. Basically, you can't position the microphone and have it stay in one place.

Anyway, these are very inexpensive and I assume you are going to get a bad one every so often. The ones that are properly constructed work great. The other makes a pretty good door stop.

I purchased 4 of these microphone stands to use in our church for the Praise & Worship Team. They are very sturdy and have a high tech look. We don't have to move them around at all just up when we sing and down when we are done. We have no complaints. As our Praise Team continues to grow I will come back and purchase more. I have recommended this product to other churches and will continue to do so for all who ask.

This thing is sturdy and attractive. The weight is where you want it, at the bottom and the round and rounded base really plants itself to the floor including carpeted floors. It comes with a cable clip but not a mic holder. Nice soft gloss black. Should last decades.

That said, I'm not using it as a mic stand. Instead, I attached a page holder. See photos. Used Stagg MUS-ARM 1 Attacheable Small Music Stand (I'm calling this a page holder, there is no stand with it). It is a direct fit. No parts needed, no modifications needed, no tools needed. Simply assemble the stand, remove the lower arm of the page holder and screw what's left onto the top of the mic stand.

This is a really, really nice combination. Heavy duty from top to bottom. Nicely balanced. If you use single sheets of music like me, you'll still need a big bag clip to hold the music in place but that's a failing of the page holder, it seems to have been designed to hold a stiffly splined book of music as opposed to single pages or spiral bound music books. These clips work perfectly:

I've attached a couple of pics to help you visualize the final 'married' product.

I open the pkg and I'm thinking I made a good deal but when I got ready to use the mic stand I discovered that it would not tighten when adjusted, it just keep slipping back down and I had to put tape around it to old it up. Can you imagine doing a show with tape around your mic stand... Not a good look for the type of band that I'm with.
